Here you will find an almost complete list of alphabet letters which appear on the early flat tip lightsabers,
all of these are the single one piece lightsaber and not DT, (DT saber lettered patterns explained below in the comments)

Lettered lightsabers are the earliest lightsabers, and would only have been packaged with the Kenner SW12 backs.
Have also seen them in a few SW-A baggies.

(EDIT 24/12/15) It is also my opinion that after many years chasing these, that you will not find the letters OO through to ZZ on the single one piece lightsabers , the double letter combo seems to stop at NN on the single, this applies to all three colours. If anyone has any of these double letters on a single one piece lightsaber, please show a photo of it.

My collection concentrates on Darth Vader lightsabers only, but this list should also apply for Luke Skywalker, and Ben Kenobi lettered lightsabers. The same mold was used only the colour changes.

Lettered lightsabers can be a single letter, ( A, B, C, ) etc, or the same letter twice, ( AA, BB, CC, ) etc.
This list consists of the letters I have tracked down so far, but it is worth a note, that all letters from ( A to Z, ) and ( AA to ZZ, ) are possible.

Single letter A to Z lightsabers may or may not have a DOT before or after a letter, I havnt gone into the Dots and letters combo's, but you can see them in the photos below

An odd lightsaber marking is the 3dot lightsaber, the dots are in a triangular pattern, and to me looks like it was intended to be this way, although some may consider this 3dot pattern to be a short shot. After holding 4 of these 3 dot sabers in hand at the same time, the pattern of the dots is identical on all.

Same applies to the double letters BB and CC single one piece lightsabers, after holding 3 of each in hand at the same time.....
-The BB is always BP, the second B in BP is not completely formed and shows a P with a slight curve at the bottom, more than likely you will not find a BB with second B completely formed as a B.
-The CC always has the first C not completely formed.
It is my opinion that the 3 dot, BP, and CC with first C not completely formed, are not short shots. They cant be short shots if they are identical when held in quantity and they are identical.

There is also 2 notable patterns to the letter combinations,
both with single letters, and double letters, the next letter in the alphabet is on the opposite side of the handle, from the previous letter.

First pattern in letter order,
Letter A on the left side of the handle, followed by the letter B on the right side of the handle, and so on through the alphabet.
Letters AA on the right side of the handle, followed by the letters BB on the Left side of the handle

Second pattern in letter order,
When the letter is doubled, it appears on the opposite side of the handle from the same single letter.
Letter A on the left side of the handle, followed by the Letters AA on the Right side of the handle, and so on through the alphabet.

Another note worth a mention is that there is also the letter ( I ) on the right and left side of the handle.
This could point to ( possibly ) all the letters on both sides of the handle, but that would be a neverending search, if it is even possible.

The letter ( J ) is upsidedown on the hilt

LILILEDY from Mexico also adopted the lettered lightsabers on some of their lightsabers,
LEDY lightsabers can also have no letters.
The letters on LEDY lightsabers are on the Right side only.
This is what I have so far for lettered lightsabers from LILILEDY, again it only concentrates on Darth Vader.

I would think that the opposing sides for letters would be consistent.
So for each letter, one would be on one side and the next letter would be on the other.
It makes sense when you see something like this:


To me it makes sense that one side of the mold would have the letter ID markings and the other be without it.
So I would think that you would only find the combinations you have mentioned, Oscar. I just dont see a second mold created in reverse. So I think your guide/info is spot on as it stands and it opened my eyes a bit and makes me want to go back through my Lukes sabers (which I will to see).

Notice the bottom sprue of the outer saber and the letters listed by Mattias in the printed text on the card.
Blank space with outer saber removed (which should have been the letter U on the left)
then V (R), W (L), X (R), Y (L), Z (R), AA (L),
then another blank space with outer saber removed (which should have been the letters BB on the right)
then CC (L), DD (R)
This shows that the DT sabers had the same letter of the alphabet on the opposite side to the same letter on single flat tip sabers.
Eg: DT saber has AA (L), and single flat tip saber has AA (R),
and so on through the double and single letters.

Also shows that the molds had 10 sabers per mold, which means when you combine the single and double letters,
for the single flat tip sabers, 5 molds, of 10 sabers on each mold, would have been needed.
Unless they used only 1 mold and restamped the same mold of 10.
