Subject: The Yoda that is ruining a friendship. Sat Jul 18, 2020 10:26 am
Hey everyone! I have a Yoda figure that is driving me and my buddy nuts. Mainly because he's the one who sold it to me and now we're finding out that it may (or may not) be a more valuable figure than originally thought.
Here's the downlow:
Lighter green skin with a face that appears to be a bit lighter than the hands and feet.
No COO stamp with what appears to be a small copyright logo before "1980 LFL)
Brown very rubbery snake with 2 EPM marks (head and mid)
Reddish/brown rubbery cane with no EPM
Belt with 3 EPM
"Pac Man" eyes that may be black or dark brown. The color is so close that we can't tell for sure.
At that time we don't have another figure to compare the robe to.
We have shown the figure to our local "experts" and even asked the original owner (who didn't know where it came from) each has a different opinion ranging from standard Kenner to Palitoy to Lili Ledy to Meccano. One thing that I find odd about the figure, and this could just be due to the age, but the head doesn't turn at all. There is some give (sort of rubbery feeling) when attempting to turn it and It seems to be pegged in more than glued into place as if it had previously been broken. My issue is that the figure seems to have characteristics of all manufacturers, however, the original owner was very meticulous over the years and kept all of his figures in a Vader case with original, non repro accessories. Everything is in amazing shape.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you take a better, more clear picture of the coo marking?

Here are some better pics of the COO. There are 2, one with the date and one with the "LFL" due to the rounding of the the hump. I apologize for the poor lighting.

Pretty sure it is a II2b coo right? These are sometimes called Meccano or trilogy and came on the potf cardbacks I believe. Since trilogo and I think Meccano simply imported figures to put on their own cardbacks. These are kenner figures in other words. Run towards the end of production.

Thank you so much! I wish I could say for 100% certainty that I know which COO it has, but I am new to the game and am confused on what to be looking for since I've heard even HK produced figures didn't show a COO stamp. Since there is no country stamp on this figure and only the year and L.F.L., I assumed it produced in Mexico or UK as Lili Ledy or Palitoy (leaning more toward Palitoy).
I very much appreciate all the work you put into this and will let my buddy know the debate is over, thanks to you
