| Sorry if this is not the right area for the post. Trying to find if a TIG member has a Lili Ledy Bib Fortuna LL Burgundy Coat Figure that would like to sell for a reasonable price, with its LL weapon even better. I have no experience buying through TIG so would need the community help to avoid a scam and do this correctly and avoid any fakes , customs, or repro’s. Thanks! |

| That'll be $2,000, please. Kidding, I'm too poor to own one. But there is one on EBay right now, as I recall |

| I wanted one a year or so ago. I am not an expert, but from what I recall from researching past posts from experts regarding a burgundy bib, it seems that there are so few real ones, fewer than we think, and too many fakes. A real one also would cost more than what we think as well. If I recall correctly there are only a few experts when it comes to this figure and their recommendation was to basically don't attempt to purchase one because more than likely it would be fake. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I do not want to give the wrong information from my memory...But anyway, good luck and be diligent. |

| Thanks much for the advice ! I will certainly be very careful ... i wasn’t planning to spend over $2000 though , so I guess it is a dream to have one of these holy grails ... I remember my parents telling me not to buy the burgundy Bib as they had bought me a normal Kenner one already , I regret not to have insisted or try to get it as a gift through other family members... oh well |

| Generally I would follow Bababooeyfett's advice, but thus is a relatively small community. There are people that are well known to deal with items this rare. But if you aren't buying from such a known source you take a good chance of being cheated |

| Take into account that mine is 100 percent authentic and 100 percent not in the best shape . Alot of the “fluff” on the coat is gone . There are alot of people that are experts on this variant , i was told to contact ozio who actually can authenticate it for you and has an authenticating service for burgundy bibs |

| Thanks HellHippie , can you let me know why at the time of your gift (and also following recommendations from this community and experts ) decided not to send to AFA for grading ? Is it because of condition which will likely result in poor grading and hence eliminate intrinsic value ? Please see posting I did in your original chat regarding your bib fortuna gift , thanks again !! |

| Okay so I reached out to the seller in Mexico ... here his reply, please your comments as it seems there is quite a bit of background:.
New message from: astromex_droid (1,219Red Star) Hi! Thanks for your comments. I've had dozens of Burgundys Bibs in my hands since i started to collect, because i was one of the few who apreciate them before the Lili became famous, also fakes and unfinished factory samples. This item passes all the tests, and it's identical to my personal Burgundy C9 condition, and my own bib has been checked by many specialist in Mexico city, including Carlos Aguilar, even the last one sold by me was autentificated by OZIO for buyers request, and buyer post positive until that. It's a shame that you couldn't check it in the flesh, the thick, the smell, the tact. Good luck my auctions! Reply

Hi I acknowledge your track record selling Star Wars vintage ; however , I must say the fabric at least on the outside appears so different to an authentic Bib Fortuna Burgundy Cape. It seems fluffy and should look rougher or flatter , also the worn shoulders or flaps typical from LL burgundy cape do not seem to be present in the coat . The inside does seems quite very similar , hard to tell in pictures I guess but the differences are quite obvious in my opinion for the outside of the coat vs an authentic burgundy coat and do question authenticity of the item.

| Hi rmmhousten, this topic has become more a reference/discussion thread than a WTB and is in the wrong section anyway for WTB. I'm going to move it to the library so we can keep the useful info together: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/f2-tig-content-and-reference-library
If you still want to make a WTB post please head over to the TIG Sales forum: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/c2-tig-sales-forum
Thanks |

| Sounds good ArtooDetour thanks !! I ended up not bidding on the listing and apparently sold for $1125 , perhaps Ozio ends up looking at the authenticity of the cape from that buyer. Would be great to know about if it indeed turns out to be an authentic LL burgundy cape , just from the pictures i had doubts.
Following are replies I received from the seller: astromex_droid: Hello again! I'm agree to a full refund if you cover the shipping return from the figure to me in the case that wouldn't be original(hope my english is good enough). How are you checking it?AFA or another mexican expert are the ussual ways. Christian, Aguilar, Ozio, etc are often consulted, i'm agree to use ANYWAY excepting the Galvez, here in Mexico are very well known they are liying about autenticity because they want to take the market for they own. However i always make a video with the figures details to avoid that someone could make a figure change in the way, because could pass many hands on the proces. Thank you pal and good luck!
I explained him he should cover the return shipping if the figure was found not to be authentic and he agreed to do so at the end. I was very hesitant to bid as so many things could go wrong in the process, I considered not worth the risk. |

| I know this is a very desirable figure to own but we don't really like reproduction items. While I don't personally have an issue with having this particular item as repro because it likely won't fool anyone, it would still be good to mark on the inside of the cape in some form of ink the word Reproduction. I just suggest this precaution as your intentions may not be to ever pass this off as real (not that it would fool any) but if something happens and your collection is sold way in the future then at least the person selling and buying can see it clearly labeled. |

| I very much hate reproductions too, this is the only item I got in my collection that is not original. I will make sure to mark it properly so there is no confusion. I don’t plan to ever sell it , if I ever do I will make sure it is done as such , a reproduction. Thanks for the understanding ! |

| @HellHippie @ozio hi , I hope both of you are doing well! This is listed on eBay from a seller whose focus is the Mego line. It does looks very real in my opinion but hard to tell in pictures if the fabric is really a Taiwan variant that was stained , it does seems it is . Seller refunded after going back and forth on this. In his listing this was the description for it: Bib Fortuna burgundy cape. Appears to be vintage lili ledy cape. Im aware there repros out there. However stitching and fabric appears to be vintage and real. Stitching is not dyed..70% say real 30% say custom.. I know nothing of star wars toys only the black hole figure line. Please consult ozio or online star wars boards but ive never seen a custom this good. Ask any questions. Low staring bid.. No returns selling as is and as custom robe..if its real its worth at least 1500. Attached are the pictures of it. Impressions are greatly appreciated. Much thanks ! |
