I recently picked up from a local toyshop a folder of photographs showing a vintage toy soldier collection. They all seem to be Napoleonic era, with both infantry and cavalry. The photos look professionally made and are on Kodak paper. It looks like it could have been someone documenting and cataloguing their collection. All in all there are about 400-450 pieces across 18 photographs.
Anyone recognise any of the pieces and know the brand?

This is q very cool collection, I have some but not on that scale. I will try and ID a few before I go to sleep hopefully.

A few things to check is any markings under the base, be advise without the age they could be made of lead.

From a quick look at the photos you have Napoleon and his battle., as well as what appears some deal in the middle east. and finally looks li!e English going up against the US.

hope this helps for now, I will try and see what else I can find out. we have a few stories with loads of thses. One thing get some good clear shots of the bottom of the base plate on as many different ones as you can.

Sorry I wasn't much Help, been a long day and an really tired.

Larry

Larry, he doesn't have the figurines here. He got these photos out of an album he bought. the figures look cool though. I know nothing of little soldiers like this so no help whatsoever.

Cheers guys. I finally found out what they are... they're French brand Starlux from the line l'Empire cheers

Someone on Twitter posted a MIB version of one of the soldiers which was a perfect match for item 274.

Once I knew the name and line I was able to go searching for other matches. The figures are all 60 mm and appear to date between 1965 and the 80s. It's a great collection (whoever it belonged to, and whoever took the photos) so I'm glad I can finally put a name to it  cheers
