Thanks I haven't gotten it in yet so I can't do any tests until it shows up. Which I'm so excited for.

This one stung a bit too. I certainly can't tell my wife.

I actually think this is the most I've spent on one single thing star wars related (Figures included). I have no idea why they are so expensive. Probably because most were destroyed/lost.

Have you bought any black palace blasters yet?

If not, take a deep breath in and out.

There is a difference btw the black Endor blaster for awing and imperial gunner. make sure You get the correct one for each.. also hard is the pure black imperial blaster for like storm.

Better video it of yourself removing it from the package, just in case the seller swapped it out, and then claimed you were the one who swapped it.

Good idea. I did it. The authentic saber is considerably lighter than the repro. So what does it look like just on appearance?

This is what I got. The Repro is on the right. Real is on the left:

It floats when on water and sinks when tapped. I've scratched it and nothing comes off. I've tried the light test and it isn't translucent that I can tell. There is no EPM on the handle. Anything else I need to do to confirm authenticity?

Look sound as pound to me. Well done mate.

I could always by some drug dealer scales and weigh my two for you...

I own a watch (wristwatch) forum. You wouldn't believe what people will do. I video every opening of a watch that I purchase. And I did the same with this one.

That's understandable, especially if you have been burnt before. Hopefully nothing bad will happen to me as I have a couple of special Luke Jedi purchases coming... maybe I should take that advice. I have only be let down once before in the past, so like to give folks the benefit of the doubt.

What sort of watches do you collect? I have a little long term project going on with my Vintage Omega Seamaster Automatic 9K from 1960s, I have a old but hugely experienced watchmaker nearby. He did a great job getting the movement up and running, replaced the glass all the replacement movement parts ordered from Omega. I planning on getting the wind replaced and a solid 9K buckle for the strap next. Star Wars, Watches and Whisky - cool hobbies

I've owned mostly Breitling. But I've had an Omega Seasmaster Pro and probably 50 other different brands. Let's see your cool Omega.

The watchmaker told me that the wind is a genuine Omega, but it's narrower than it should be. So previous owner might of swapped out or lost it. It does it job for now but the plan is to get the correct part ordered during it's next service along with the buckle. maybe another glass put in too... I love my watch, so I ware it day in day out, the genuine omega glass (has a very tiny omega symbol etched in the centre) has already got a few fine scratches already. But it gives me pleasure to have a vintage fully mechanical watch ticking on my wrist.

Very, very nice. That winder is called the "Crown". And they can order you one. The glass is probably hessalite so it will get scratches in it pretty easily but that's what you get with a vintage watch.

I know nothing of watches, but if you guys would like to let us other members in on some knowledge a good off topic thread wouldn't hurt. I have some Seiko ones, one I bought and a few I got from my father when he was alive, but don't really know much about them other than that is what he told me was a good watch so I bought one. I don't even wear it anymore so it sits sadly in my nightstand drawer.

That would be cool, let's set one up. I have a lovely mechanical half hunter so I'll put some photos up.
