I'm hoping someone here can help me with some info on whether or not this Vader saber in a Repro. It feels fairly ridged and it sinks in water. I'm new to collecting vintage and any help would be greatly appreciated. Ive looked at a few of the sections on Saber variants but I'm just not sure. I hope I posted this in the correct section.

Anyone care to offer an opinion? I'm really wondering if I bought a Repro or not.

Sabers are probably the hardest weapon to authenticate. I don't see anything that just stands out to say reproduction and authentic sabers can float or sink.

Ditto to what Bryan said in terms of sabers being the hardest of all accessories to identify.

However here's my two cents worth:
1) the light (from the flash) reflecting off the saber shaft suggests it's smooth - this means its probably not a revalveit repro since they have mould rings around the shaft making it appear less smooth (and are clearly visible under a magnifier)
2) the color appears to change to a more orange half way along the shaft which suggests light exposure?
3) stress mark on the tip (although this is not real evidence since that could appear on repro stuff too)

Unfortunately for the vader saber, the UV test doesnt work either since all the repros ive come across also glow under UV.

Thanks a lot for the info guys! I really appreciate the help. I've obviously got a lot to learn and there's a TON of info to digest.
