So I got an interesting question. you see since the imperial gunnery does not have a black example of v2 and v4 moulds, but it says in the gunnery that the black blaster was ONLY released with the luke storm trooper figures, then these two in the picture, identified as black v2 And v4 blasters , where did these two black v2 and v4 blasters originate from?

yellow background means that is a Trilogo MOC not a POTF MOC

I found another black specimen. It looks totally black with no blue trimmings or flashing. however when I shine the light through it, it still looks blue. With the naked eye even on a black or white background, it looks totally black, with no hint of blue. Only when I shine light though it, looks blue. So my question is whether the truly black example will show black when a torch is shine through it. Any loose examples?

This seller is a respected seller in my country in Singapore, and he swears he tore it out of a POTF packaging 30 years ago,So I told him that there is no way the potf came with a black blue gun, he insists is black, and I believe him as to my naked eye is black, even under daylight. The only question is when a flashlight is shone through the gun, does it come out as totally black or vey very dark blue? Or is no one certain. need your input as I'm a New collector and have full trust in the imperial gunnery website and I always refer to it when talking to other more experienced collectors.

Note John's (darthberizing) reply about any color difference means it's not black. If I remember right there should be no light getting through on the true black but I can't find the pics and discussion on that just yet.
