| @Calrissian_Charm - Really clean paint error DSD! Looks great! @hellhippie - Shiny coins, Bill! Gotta' go with the Jawas and their 'crawler as my favorite. @TheJabbaWookie - Awesome looking cardbacks! Agreed with you about the art of LJD, but Tusken Raider takes the cake for me, too! Fantastic pick-ups, everyone! |

| Great recent additions. Glasslite figures are always neat to see. Really nice bi lingual snowboarder. And neat polish Vader. Is this the polish that usually is paired with a silver gi Joe snake eyes sword? I have seen a Vader paired with that sword several times and always thought that sword was really a great weapon with its sculpt. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| I'm not sure since from what I've gathered, the weapons were sold separately from the figures. But that is, I believe the only weapon that was offered for Vader. |

this vader looks super cool and only adds to my struggle If it makes you feel any better, as it turns out this figure is circa '95. It's only 18 years old! Ah the shame! @trappedtexan I did some more research, and I believe this is the figure that matches the Snake Eyes sword. I found that earlier versions had a little black stick that passed for a lightsaber |

| These i think are often called 3rd generation polish. They surfaced in the mid 90s and were actually made for stores so not just a small guy in the basement job, they were sold at retail as some surfaced with price tags from stores. I never looked into them very far as the polish line doesn't really appeal to me a whole lot outside of a few key character figures and those are because the character not the line itself. It is still a cool bootleg and a great part of the history of the toy lines in that country. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Got this at auction for what I figured was a decent price. Don't know anything about the value of coins. But when I opened him, I knew this was something unexpected... The cape felt very thin and pliant. And his lightsaber is so oddly pale. When I looked at the back of his leg, it made sense. Now I know I got an amazing deal! So, thinking back on what I've learned, I remember reading that Taiwan only Vaders are generally considered to be Toltoys, though maybe not always. Is it possible this guy was originally carded with the coin? They appear to have put him away wet And what the hell is this doing on his lightsaber? |

| So Calrissian_Charm it looks like you’ve ditched the princess and turned to the dark side Nice pick ups. Lovely box on the snowspeeder Yzerman Finally completed my Molded Face Luke Jedi today and ticked off another 2018 goal for me. I got him in two instalments - initially a regular Taiwan Luke and snap cape but with incorrectly paired blue HK saber. So I donated the blue saber to his brother, and finally picked up a Molded Face variant this week for a good price. He now comes with the correct grey v2 blaster and correct v4 saber. Thanks to Thomas Gill for confirming what variant snap cape and advice on blaster, and to TIG’s very own James Kenneison for the verification process on the saber. He’ll probably recall a great number of posts on a long drawn out TIG thread with some crappy lores photos |

| Bill you going for droids and ewoks coins also or just stumbled on a deal? I still need the droids figures. Have very few coins but the look of them is nice when framed up.
Did the seller not list it as a Taiwan only Vader? Wow that is an awesome mistake if so. The Taiwan only isn't super rare but rarer than the made in Taiwan for sure. They are generally found in Australia is why it is believed they may have been toltoys but I don't think it has ever been confirmed that they were strictly toltoys. I don't know off the top of my head if toltoys had coins with figures because that was a power of the force thing. I do think they had mail aways for coins like the US and it may have been toltoys, but I recall one distributor taped coins to carded figures. It has been forever since I saw the stuff talking about that. Seems there were many figures found in the same way, carded with coins taped to the cards and many cardbacks with tape marks showing it. I will have to try to hunt that thread out to see as i may be recalling the info all wrong.
Great like jedi. Seeing a lot of interest in the Luke jedi around here lately. Someone just shared a Luke jedi focus limelight the other day in the limelight section. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| He did not mention the COO, Brian. It was a huge surprise. He's a bit different than the majority descriptions I've seen, but appears to be all authentic and correct, from my experience. I found Oscar's post on this figure, and it confirmed I have all the proper parts. I never paid attention to the EPM before, but this one is so large it's hard to miss. Dimple mouth, cape vers. 2, small gap.
I bid on it for the coin, since it was cheaper than what others were asking for the coin by itself.
JabbaWookie, I was working on the Vader figures at the same time, but he's taken over. I felt like I had gone as far as I was going to go with Leia variants, aside from bootlegs and non-US stuff like Glasslite, which I'm still interested in. I also had to sell the majority of my Leia figures due to a rough financial patch. They sell quick so they went first.

| Ok, so a bit of digging. Toltoys didn't have the coin mail away offer but they did have coins in store to hand out as promotional with purchases. This thread discusses that: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t5150p25-toltoys It is on page 2.
The coins I was thinking of weren't taped to cards they were shrink-wrapped and it appears most of those (if not all) were found on Japanese cardbacks. The tsukuda line. Coincidentally there aren't many tsukuda figures and even less with the coins. Some pop up frequently but I am meaning they didn't get a ton released on their cards I think. More can be read on those hwre: http://theswca.com/images-speci/potf/figures/japanese.html
I still think I read something about coins taped to cardbacks also, but can't seem to find the thread so maybe I am mixing information.
Almost forgot, since we are talking a Taiwan only vader, Oscars has a limelight thread on just this variant here: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t5970-darth-vader-taiwan-coo-variant?highlight=Vader+Taiwan+only due to photobucket changing their mess about his pics are messed up. He said a long time ago that he needed to replace them but hasnt don it yet. If you need pics you can message him but he has good descriptors still in there so maybe you can tell from those if the cape is correct. Sounds like the one he has labeled as 2, but not sure. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Thanks, Brian. I had just found Oscar's thread myself, and it confirmed all my accessories. I've messaged the seller to get more info, so it will be interesting to get their responses. My guess is that he had the figure and the coin, and just happened to sell them together. I'm also trying to find out where he got the figure from originally, because he is not currently in Australia. Man, this is the most exciting EBay buy I've had. I literally squealed when I look at his stamp |
