Hi Y'all!

Does anyone know how to identify if Droopy's flute is original?

I'm looking to buy one from eBay (I know, I know...) which is the silver microphone + black flute version. The owner says he thinks it repro but can't say why he thinks that.

1) Should an original flute float or sink?
2) I noticed on the rebelscum post ** from ages ago that there is an EPM two thirds of the way up the flute on one side - is this the case for ALL original versions?

Any other ways to identify it?

Thanks,
Mat

We were only just talking about adding this to the main site. Awaiting decent pictures. Original flutes float ( & mics) ask the seller to submerge them UNDER water and see if they float back to the surface. The other identifying details maybe too difficult to photograph for most people. ( I failed!!)

Actually ask the seller if they sink- that may get a more 'honest' response Wink

Thanks James - that's what I needed to know. I asked the seller and he said it sank, so I found another to buy. I'm now the proud owner of a black stand/silver fluted version of this set.

When I get around to it I will take some pictures for the guide and PM them.

Thanks again for your awesome help!
Mat

This set is harder to get than the silver stands and black flute in my opinion. They may not actually be harder to find but that was my personal experience with it. Congrats on getting them. I looked forever before finding a decent affordable example of this set.
