| Subject: What about a TIG shop? Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:41 pm | |
| Greetings!
I was just having a coffee out of my favourite Vader mug and I was thinking guys ... how about some cool TIG merchandise which us gunners can purchase or something crazy like that to capture the TIG whilst it was in its first year.
I don't know; Maybe start with a few simple items like TIG mugs for work, or T-shirts which we can wear to promote this cool site. We could even buy our own membership card/kit with our personal TIG member number kind of like the TK numbers that the 501st (Vader's Fist) wear!
Now that TIG is in full swing and its members increasing all the time a little sideline for the TIG could help raise funds for future developments, competitions, social events, etc.
I have no idea on what involved here so sorry if I am "putting a monkey on someone else's back" but you only have to browse though the site to see all the amazing graphical design work that been done.
I know if there was some cool stuff available then I would buy stuff.
What do you think guys? |

| It's funny I was just thinking I remember seeing something about t-shirts in an older thread somewhere and I was wondering what happened to that idea? I'll be in for at least a shirt and mug or two! |

| YES! I'm all for this notion. Sign me up for some TIGF condoms and a stainless steel flask! I would like the condoms to glow neon green and be lightsaber-themed, and on my flask I'd like an image of Dengar on one side and Malikili on the other!! Andre |

domr2 I couldn't see it either lads ... sorry Jay! I started a pointless thread as there's already a shop in progress. I wondered why none of old the top gunners were chiming in... Feel free to delete. Is: http://www.imperialgunnery.com another site then Jay? Is it accessable from the forum homepage. I didn't know it existed |

| The weapon reference site was Jays first baby Craig, the forum came afterwards and there is a link to this forum from the main site but a lot of people got here through invites and contacts so they might have bypassed the main site.
In fact the forum is going so well and its changed so much that they both look like different sites at the moment bar the name but I am sure in time that will updated to look just as snazzy as this awesome forum!
Don't think your post needs to be deleted or moved mate! Its got some good interest and might inspire some future changes ! |

Is: http://www.imperialgunnery.com another site then Jay? Is it accessable from the forum homepage. I didn't know it existed Yes bud. I'm in the car travellin to the beach (let's hope the sea doesn't try to kill me and my dog this week!) So I'm on my PDA Phone so my grammer maybe a bit shit. At the start of the last year we decided to build a new Repro weapon site as the Jawas armory hadn't been updated in years (the guy behind that site actually helped me with TIG). Once we got into it we thought it would be cool to expand into weapon variants as well. The site went live summer 2009 and even had a very basic forum there - www.imperialgunnery.com We then decide to ditch the old forum and old live chat page on there and build something better the end result been www.imperialgunneryforum.com Things have been evolving since then the forum platform is far better than the original site so behind the scences we are starting to move the content from the old site to this one but that will take at least another 6 to 9 months to complete. I hope that explains things a little bit The main repro and weapon variant site www.imperialgunnery.com is actually linkeds on the forum homepage under the reference section if you look there you will also see the link to the TIG You Tube Channel! Cheers Jay |

| Thanks for explanation lads...
I got totally confused there! When Shawn invited me to join he sent me a link directly to this site so that's probably why I didn't see the old site before.
I am sure I checked out the Jedi sabres in the reference guide when I first joined so not sure why I didn't notice the different website addresses at the time. You only get to appreciate the work that has gone into this site over the last few months when you flash back to the first baby Jay. So well done mate (and to your little helpers)! |
