Can't find any information that helps me determine if mine is or isn't original .  This site suggests the spear is flexible-but not too flexible?  The color on mine is correct, but it sinks and is flexible-- is it original or repo.  Picked this up about 1990 at garage sale and have assumed all these years that it is original.  I can't seem to find a date when the first repo weapons were produced.  That would help me since my StarWar collection has been in my possession since the early 90's and were all picked up at garage sales or flea markets for a buck or two.

Thanks for answer and tried to insert picture, but I don't seem to be able to do it.  The picture would show how much the one I have bends.  How much do the originals bend?

I have a few spears they all float apart from the known reproductions. Two painted versions & a rubbery version both sink. Reproductions have been around since the early 90s. When you say flexible, would you consider it almost rubbery?
