I got some vintage figs off a few sellers on eBay that are claiming they came with 100% vintage original weapons. I even sent them eBay messages and asked. They look "too perfect" to me to be true. They all float, but ... I just don't know. 

What do y'all think? (Before I go ratting out some sellers, LoL)

Here are some more. These definitely are not as "clean" as the others, and are a little translucent. But much thicker grip. For example ... won't fit into Greedo's hand.

I want to say the top one is a version 1 and the next one is a version 3, the only thing that has me concerned is the one I think is a version 3 has some sort of defect with that middle knob below the scope.

Hopefully Paul or AJ can chime in as they are much better at the weapon id than me.

Do they have repros floating around that are translucent when held up against a light source?

Translucent is a very good sign of being vintage. Take a group picture (both sides) & we can go from there.

My only concern with all of this, is getting completed figures sent back from AFA that contain repro weapons.

I try my best to find "reputable" sellers/dealers on eBay, that in-turn, claim 100% vintage original weapons in their auctions.

I wish there was a way to send off a pile of these guns and other stuff to get verified first some how.

I would agree with AJ they all look good from the photos. Keep an eye on the classifieds here at TIG as John (Darthberizing) often sells weapons and accessories and you can be sure they're genuine.

Imperial blasters are not always translucent. I just checked three I had to hand - two were a solid colour under a strong light and one was translucent.
