So I'm finally starting to watch Clone Wars. I watched the micro series, movie and now started the clone wars CN series.

My question is when does all this take place? I figured that the micro series is right before episode 3 but that's it

I think it's 5 years after 2(?) and right up to and leading into Episode 3.

Such a great series..as is Rebels! Larry watches as well.

Rebels is after 3, before 4.

I just love the whole Star Wars univers I was hooked in && when I seen the first movie so when it comes to anything to do with movies or shows no matter how crappy (Jar Jar) they are i have to see them. I just loved the clone wars cartoon when it aired but later found out that The series wasn't in the correct order when it was first aired which after rewatching them in the order they should have been done made more sense if it were to corrispond with the actual timeline of the Star wars universe. i will link a site at the bottom that will show the order they should be seen in.  

Like Matt said I am also really into Star Wars rebels which is set before A New Hope which is also a very cool show with lots different stuff happening. Disney is supposedly going to do four or five seasons of the show from what I have heard which will be cool.

There are also rumours of another Star Wars cartoon as well that is suppose to be set during the Sequel Trilogy timeline Episodes VII and beyond it is supose to be out in 2017 or so. Judging by how Disney is going now I am sure it will happen, and possibly other ones my even come up for the timeline between Jedi and episode 7 that would be pretty cool as well I think.

Yeah.. the watching order that SW.com or reddit provides is the way to go. Unless you're lazy and don't feel like looking up the next episode in sequence, and letting the good times automatically roll (netflix)

I hope Rebels goes on for four or 5 seasons, that'd be sweet!

I have to admit I'm loving clone wars the stories are great! Season 3 Episode 1 is my favorite so far, Clone Cadets! Go Domimo Squad! I just love cheering for the underdog.

On the Star Wars Clone Wars Chronological episode webpage I don't see where the other Clone Wars mini series fits into all of this?

I believe it was it's own entity that was originally made to bridge the gap between Ep. 2 and 3 but became so well received that it produced what you're watching now: 6 seasons of CW.

I haven't watched any of the clone wars and only the short stand alone DVD of rebels. You guys are making me want to watch these shows. Of course watching them in that odd order is a lot of work switching DVDs over and over. Got to get Netflix or something.

The first time I watched CW I did it in season 1-6 order.. so don't let the watching order turn you away!

Wow I have to say that I truly slept on this series, the CW is awesome so far. The story's are great.
