I know not everyone celebrates this day the same way as we do here in the states, but I want to wish everyone a happy Halloween. Have fun and be safe for those taking their little ones out (or going out themselves). For those staying in to hand out candy and give some scares, I hope it is a blast.

I just got home from working a few Halloween parties.

Happy Halloween! Here are some pics of a theme park near us that celebrates Halloween. We made a pumpkin with Detour Jnr and finished the day with pancakes and watching A Nightmare Before Christmas. After he went to bed I watched 28 Days Later (Same as what Andy said, it's a tradition to watch a horror movie on Halloween   ).

Probably our biggest year yet - we estimated that we had close to 200 kids come through (and lots of adults too) .

200 kids? jeez we haven't had that many roll through in years . I figured on Saturday wed get lots but maybe we got 10
Halloween where I live has really just fizzled out as people bring there kids to parking lots and malls and such ..... horrible, but theres lots of candy left

I know what you mean - it's the same in our town , just throw in churches to the list of where the parents take their kids .

We have been doing the Halloween thing for at least 8 years now and it started the same for us and we were lucky if we got 10 kids

Every year it gets a bit better and I am pretty sure it is just from word of mouth - basically the folks that really like it come back year after year and they always tell their friends and then they come too

I don't do facebook or any other type of social media but I know there has been people who come and then facebook it to their peeps (finally something useful from facebook )

Yeah not on facebook either , but im glad someone got something out of that garbage. I couldnt do a big display this year although we are planning to do one next year. Wgen my neighbors asked us why we said why should we ya"ll hand out in parking lots anyways then we come to find out people enjoy it . Its not for others it for us but its nice that people dig it

We primarily do it for ourselves too but a big part of it is to try and show kids what Halloween was like when we were kids (and it was still fun)

The vast majority of the kids that come really get a kick out of it . I gave a neighbor kid a cheapo hockey mask last year and he went as Jason this year . We also have a few other fanatical children that come year after year
