Is there a specific COO stamp pattern for the original 12 back figures? Specifically Luke, Vader, and Obi-wan. Or were there more than one COO patterns on the carded 12 back figures?

I don't think there are specific ones that were only found on 12 backs, but there were certain ones that wont be one 12 backs. I don't think any of the no coo figures would be on 12 backs, and the Taiwan only vader I don't think was on 12 backs, but the made in Taiwan one might have been. The 12 backs would have been for sure hong kong and possibly some Taiwan (not sure though on that).

I'm not sure on Vader but all 3 HK luke stamps where available from the very beginning. I think all of Bens where available from the 12-a MOCs but I'm not sure on him, Taiwan come in to production for all these 3 figures at the 12-a MOC's stage of production.

I was thinking about Chewy beachboy19 not Ben. There's only 5 Made in Taiwan 12 backs, Vader, Chewy, R2, Leia and Luke. The rest of the Taiwan figures where ROTJ produced.

I've not seen it myself but I did see someone ask the question on RS once about what COO the Taiwan R2 had and some one who owned one said his was a No COO version. I've also read that there was some Taiwan Vader that didn't have any leg detail at all. There's HK produced No COO R2's though so it would come down to matching the paint colours within a Taiwan one as the HK No COO's are latter produced
