Hey guys. Just got a Y-wing body from the 1983 ROTJ 3 3/4 line. Been wanting to add one for a while, and this one was the right price. The electrics even work!! Cleaned it up and re-set the landing gear. On with the post. I need parts. I found the guns for not a ton of money, and the canopy is also going to be pretty easy. You probably know where this is going next. The dang engine struts. Geez, these are killers. $5.00 for just one on the ebays! I've seen some complete lots, so I may just wait for another one of them since I'm not in a hurry. Does anyone else have an idea where to find these? I've googled it every way I can come up with. There's nothing in the classifieds here, either.

Easily lost or in this case easily broken parts are always more difficult to find. It is generally never more 'economical' to try and piece a vehicle together to make complete ( can be more fun thou)

I don't have any extra parts myself but you may want to ask the chickenman he may have some kicking around, I did find a parts ship on brianstoys for $30 it's missing top gun, 2 struts, and its bomb and is pretty dirty looking but still a better price then what most are asking for one strut. here's the link hope it helps http://www.brianstoys.com/vintage-star-wars-boxed-y-wing-fighter-vehicle-c-2-with-c-1-box.html#.VY45O-drbIU

I think I got it. I found a huge parts lot that had 6 struts, both thrusters and both end caps. Plus a new cockpit interior, top gun mount, forward guns, landing gear pieces, and few other bits. Guy took $35 for it! Figure I'm going to piece together the best of what I have, plus this stuff, then flip the rest. Maybe in the classifieds here so I can skip the ebay fees. I'm just going to need the canopy assembly and 2 more struts. That should be easy.
