| dan: LOLLLLLLLLL darth: you are absolutely right as the 85 is around $600...but without a coa! will wait, save the cash and in the meantime will buy the stormie luke potf if the deal works out. thanks for your 2 cents, you know sometimes it's hard to take a decision when no friends around you are collecting that stuff!

| I would get the 85 jAWA. $1200 is an insane price. If not for the label you probably could not tell which figure is which. |

| I've never understood why an AFA90 is twice what an AFA85 is. Especially if the only difference is one had an AFA 'clean' done to it |

| you know what guys? i am sure it will sell at that price. just had a look and the last auction finished in the $1100 territory for a 90. anyhow, will wait for a great 85...with the appropriate coa...
thanks to everyone for your thoughts, much appreciated.
in the meantime i might consider a detox cure as i feel overly addicted to sw vintage these days! :nailbiting: |

| Please excuse my uninformed question, but..... Is the ONLY difference between the regular cloth caped Jawa and the vinyl caped Jawa the cape itself, or? (IE: the CAPE is the 'rare' bit, NOT the Jawa itself, or?)
Thanks for the info, cheers!

| The figure itself is slightly different (eyes & belt) but yeah the 2 inch square bit of vinyl is the expensive bit |

| So...wait...people go batshit nuts over a vinyl CAPE?? Hell, I can get a vinyl shower curtain liner for $2, bet that'd make a LOT of little 2-inch capes!! Hmmmm....this is helping to reinforce that I need to stick STRICTLY to U.S. release loose figures and not variations... w o w Cheers, Andre (Who STILL doesnt know a "Ledy" from a flying Dutchman...though I'll tell ya this, the very NEXT time that I'm in Mexico I will be HAUNTING those "bargain marts" where the bootleg figures live and BREED.... ) |

Andre believe it or not that was a US release figure. When the figures were 1st released the Jawa had a vinyl cape. Then it was changed to the cloth. It was the same with the lightsabers. You may have seen references to the "DT" or "Double Telescoping" lightsabers. They are the ones that extend twice (out the arm with a smaller tip sliding out the main blade) and were also released in the beginning. Just another thing to make collectors bang their heads against the wall. |
