Guys,

I have already received a few PMs and mails asking me about my recent colour change. Would be good to explain them in a thread.

I have decided to resign as an admin, and leave the TIG Team. Due to different views about running TIG. No hard feelings to anyone here, this is the way things go sometimes.  

I have very much enjoyed the work and the cooperation within the TIG Team during the past years.
TIG has always been my home and will always remain a warm place in my collector’s heart.
That said, I won’t turn into a stranger and will keep posting to this fantastic site.

I wish John and his TIG Team all the best for the future.

I just want to say thanks to Marco for all his hard work here over the past few years.

Marco was one of the first guys to welcome me on the TIG. So I appreciate what you have for the vintage SW collecting community.

I told Marco this already but it bears repeating. Despite differing ideas on the site and its future his contributions to the site have been great. There is no doubt the site is better for him being a part of it.

I'm glad that you'll remain active in the community

I also would like to thank you Marco for all your hours of work, dedication and devotion. As well as all that you have contributed to TIG over the years. Your PBP/Poch and Ledy discussion threads, for example, have provided me and so many others, with a wealth of knowledge about vintage SW variant collecting

Marco was the 1st real friend that I ever made from our community and he was the person that finally talked me in to joining a forum

I have never looked back since then and am eternally grateful to him because , not only do I have a life long friend in him , he allowed me the opportunity to meet the rest of you guys and make more real friendships then I can count

Truly a gentlemen , you will never find a more honest , kind and helpful person . There are many others I consider his equal in character but none better

Not much to say that hasn't been said. Marco sure was a great admin to have and is a great member and friend to keep. His contributions for sure cast a long shadow and leave giant shoes to fill for any future admin. Glad he is sticking around as a member.

In March of 2013 I remember asking someone called Dr Dengar if there was any chance he could send me a copy of his Lily Ledy programme (PDF file) from a convention in Mexico 2003. ( I was not a member then, he did not know me from Adam) I got it within 10 mins of asking, then joined TIG and like the other guys have learnt a lot from Marco's great posts and threads

Marco you already know that it was your LL guides that drew me to TIG. Not only do I class you as a good friend but an inspiration. See you at CE3, the first ones on me!

Marco your a great friend and the info you have supplied about LL items to me has been priceless. I am happy that you won't be a stranger here. You have also done a great job as an admin and I am sure John hates to see you go as well as the rest of us.

Good luck mate! We were both made mods on the same day and have collaborated on some cool TIG projects (and some not-so-cool... 'Interviews in Underoos' was doomed from the beginning, 'Repro Seller Flamethrower Smackdown' failed the health and safety checks, and the 'MLP Forum Sub-Section' received severe criticism )
As already said, sorry to see you go. Your enthusiasm and collecting guides are top class. A pleasure to have worked alongside you!

If you hadn't been there with all your help, knowledge, inspiration, and friendship, the Lili Ledy project would have a failure right from the start. Luckily it turned out differently.
