Sci-Fi Scarborough 2015 Right folks, the count down has begun for the 2nd Sci-Fi Scarborough event! I thought I would post a thread up on here and keep it up dated with all the new information and updates of the guests who will be announced over the next couple of months. The main reason why I am posting this here is becasue I would really love for some of my TIG friends to make the journey and have a big meet up So far the guest list includes the guy who plays Greedo, Femi Taylor (oola) and dark lord himself Dave Prowse. There are loads of others as well and there is going to be a room filled with probably the biggest collection of Jerry Anderson props ever put into one place from a whole collective of Jerry Anderson Collectors! There will be traders and all sorts! So calling all U.K. Tiggers! put March the 14th & 15th in your diary and lets all meet up and get drunk and beat up a couple of nerds or something I may be able to put a few people up as long as you don't mind crashing on my sofa/floor, I've got airbeds and shit and I'm not sure yet but I may even be able to rent out the flat above me for literally peanuts, but that will be something nearer the date. I will keep this post updated with new info and for anyone on Facebook, here is the page: Sci-Fi Scarborough 2015 This offer of a meet up is of course extended to all TIG members far and wide if you want to make the trip, I can show you all just how shit England is

Well anyone who crashes at mine will have to deal with several issues concerning me: I regulary walk around naked, I shoot guns, and I need some 'alone' time with my computor at least once a day... the time depends on when Laura is out But don't let this put you off, I'm a really nice guy

If enough people from similar areas want to make the trip, could always do a car share.

This sounds like it could be a good laugh, and a great opportunity to meet up with some fellow TIGers probably around a seven hour drive for me though I might look into perhaps flying to Manchester, then getting the train the rest of the way It would save me around 3hrs travelling time, for only slightly more cost. I could fly up on the Friday night and fly back on the Sunday, but it would mean crashing on your couch for two nights Alex, if that's ok with you?

Sounds like big fun. I would need to fly from Amsterdam to Durham Tees Valley first, I think. How to get to Scarborough from there on, by train, landspeeder or bus?

Nearer the time, if people are actually coming and we have a head count we can arrange transport then and see what we can throw together

This goes for anyone interested, if we can establish a group of people genuinely interested then we can try and work out the cheapest possible way to cover travel, a lot of folk are from down south, I know not living next door to each other, but surely car share & pick ups is a potential option? I'd like to say, don't look at this as a long way to travel for a shit town Sci-Fi convention, look at this as a holiday and a grand TIG meet up

I'd probably drive so anyone en-route from the midlands is welcome to join me, failing that I have 2 train stations local to me stoke and macclesfield

As much fun as this sounds, I won't be able to make it. Too much going on between XMas, a friend's wedding, brother's wedding and Celebration Anaheim and more within the next few months. I do hope a bunch of you do get together. I am sure it will be a blast! cheers!

No promises at this stage, but circumstances permitting, I would love to attend. If I can make it, I will have my wife and daughter with me (I think my daughter would like to see where CBBC's 'All At Sea' is filmed, plus she wants to meet Alex 'the hairy man who makes funny videos' ).

Right chaps, this event is edging nearer and we need to finalize who's coming so we can sort out transport, potential car sharing etc. Accommodation is also going to be an issue, but I can put up a good few people, if you don't mind sofa crashing air beds and sleeping bags then you are more than welcome to crash at mine for the week end, this would definately be the cheapest option. And there would only be a slight risk that I may drug you and creep in during the night and violate you all So fella's get in touch with me and each other and lets see what we can sort out, I'm gonna need to know how much Rohypnol I'm gonna need There are several other confirmed guests now as well!Alan Harris who plays Bossk as well as several other characters will be coming Yes! He was the man who also donned the first prototype white Boba Fett outfit! Also David Graham will be attending as part of the Jerry Anderson feature, he supplied the voice for Parker and Brains So come on Tig'ers! let get together and go geek!

| As you know Alex, I would very much like to make this, although I'm not sure the best way of getting there yet. I would be happy to crash on your floor or couch, hell if I've drunk enough whisky, I'll sleep anywhere ( and have)

I already have taken some days off from work, and now have to book some tickets to Scarborough. Seems I have to fly from Amsterdam to Durham first. I guess you guys all arrive at Saturday, leave at Sunday? Maybe I stay a day longer to prevent having to leave too early Sunday and miss all the fun...and maybe to recover from terrible things that happened the night before in Maison Kahn. I just sleep on my black Wampa fur.

Right, so we're moving forward then who lives where and what's the possibility of potentially car sharing? Chris & Stef any chance there? Durham, I have a friend in Middleborough who will be coming, he may be able to pick you up Marco and drive you here
