Everyone,

Long time member Chris_J asked me to post and let people know about his situation. Some of us know already, but he won't have to contact everyone.

Chris' fiancee Kayla underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. They successfully removed a 2lb (.97KG) tumor and I'm happy to report that Chris and Kayla spoke this morning and she is doing well.

Chris asked for any prayers and well wishes you can spare. He'll try to check in and so just post here in this thread.


Chris - I wish you both all the best my friend and you'lll continue to be in my prayers on Sunday!

I hope everything continues to go well, and I wish Chris & Kayla all the best. Hopefully Kayla has a speedy recovery.

Thank u guys. And a special thanks to John. Kayla is doing wonderful right now. Doctors said if she doesn't set up infection from the staples, she can come home in a week or two. She surprised me this morning by calling me. Talked to her a couple times during the day to see how she was, since she'sat a sspecialist hospital in Kansas right now. But thank u all for ur prayers and wel wishes. And on a good note, anyone around here on Valentine's day, be ready for a wedding. That's the date she set for us to get married. :-)

Thanks, Aj. Was hoping to talk to her again before I crashed tonight, have to be up by 2:30am, but she said she would call by 5am. She's my little fighter. :-)

Thanks guys from both of us. Didnt get a chance to talk to her today, but I know alls well. She told me she is going to do everything she has to to make sure infection doesn't set up so she can come home last night. Shes still doing great last I heard and will keep pushing herself to be here. Ill keep everyone updated, either myself or through John. And if anyone wants to contact me personally by text, get in tpuch with John. He has my number, since I hardly get online anymore. When she comes home, u will be lucky to see me period cause I will be busy keeping her happy. Thanks again from me, Kayla and our families. When our wedding day comes around, ill make sure there's plenty of pics to share. Her dress is beautiful

Update for today. Just got off the phone with.her and that tumor was not cancer. Great blessing. But now she has a cold from her nurse. Woman was sick to begin with and went around her. Other than that, shes healing good and should still be home soon. Can't wait till she does so I can post up current pics of us.. thanks again from both of us and our families

What a relief for you both and your families that the tumour was benign. I'm surprised a nurse with a cold was allowed to be in contact with Kayla so soon after surgery. Fingers crossed you'll have her home again soon.

Hopefully within the next 2 weeks she can, cp. Shes doin fine today from the few seconds I talked to her before her sister had to leave. Ill know more later. But she did say last night when I talked to her after she revovered to tell all of u thank u for being so kind towards us. It means a lot to her right now. She is pushing to recover so she can come home. Ill make another announcement later on I been holding back on cause pics speak a thousand words. :-) some know it already from Facebook and my posts. But im a happy one right now
