| Is this a known pike for the royal guard. Has an extra line in the tip. Flexable and slightly darker grey. The texture is a little rougher. Thanks for any help. |

| Are they real or repro, below the tip area of the pike (second photo), the gap between the last molded line is further apart does anyone have the same, I looked at the weapon guide here, but this distance between the line is not mentioned. Also the texture on these is rougher, I thought they are supposed to be smooth I have 5 of my royal guard pikes like these, and will need to replace them if these are repro I suck at identifying pikes and staffs. |

| I only have six staffs and although there are some subtle mold differences/flaws between them, none have that extra line/ring detail  |

| I have tons of ERG pikes, but i am still not sure what you are asking Oscar??? What is the extra line to the tip?? Does that mean it has three lines to the tip? All pikes have two lines to the tip...some are more visible some not.... I am guessing you mean that the area were the two steelmold parts should form a line (flashing) is extra wide on yours?? This can be from removing the pike too soon from the mold. If you can explain me more detailed what the problem is I will check mine...okay?? We are talking this pic right?? Which is the pike you are suspecting?? The one in the middle?? |

| Thanks for your help guys. I apologise if I have made it too confusing. Chris has put it better than I did, I am refering the the details of the rings and the distance between them, around the top of the pikes The distance of the last ring ( shown in yellow lines ) is further apart than the normal distance of the other rings ( shown in red dots ) I cant find any reference to the distance of the last ring being further apart, all the photos I look at, don't show this distance of the last ring on the pikes which is making me think these are repops. All three pikes are the same. Hope this picture will show what I am refering to. Thanks for any help. |

| ahar...I couldn't find differences between those three because they aren't different... .....I will check mine! Just to say something stupid before checking: Theoretically there should be three pike molds! Because there is three families: MIHK, HK (on boot) and TW...though We know from LL (MIHK) that all MIHK (LL and Kenner) must come with the EMP ones....though.... |

| Thanks Wolff, for some reason I knew they would be fake, damn, I have 5 like this. Feel free to add these photos to the weapons section, so no one else buys them thinking they are real, like I did. Thanks again. |

| Oscar, I am sorry to hear that. Can you tell us more about those? Where have you purchased those? Country? Seller? Would be interesting though..... I feel lots more trouble will occure in future. Injection mold seems pretty cheap these days......the fakes are getting better and better |

| Thanks Wolff, I bought all the royal guards I have 3-4 years ago from ebay, as an army lot, from the UK, but I don't remember the seller ID. I have been going through all my figures and have found a few repro weapons. Worst thing is I recently sold my spare weapons, which were all originals. They would have come in handy now. My repro bag is getting bigger. |

| Checked the two I have and they're not the same either.
Oscar, have you float tested them yet? Originals float and rise back to the surface when submerged.
Known repros can float too - and sink. Be interested to know what yours do. |

So what's the third family pike? I have three different pikes in my collection: From the pics on the guide I think that V1 matches the pike on my first pic but I'm not completely sure if there is that mismatch on the top of the upper lines on V1. V2 matches with my second pic. So my third pic should be the missing V3 (or it's repro ... I'm not sure ... never paid much attention to ERG pikes till now ). I've included also a fourth pic because it's slightly different to the first. Top down: Pic 1-4 Top down: Pic 1-4 marked Top down: Pic 1-4 details Pic1 (=V1?): mismatch on the top of the upper lines Pic2 (=V2): EPMs Pic3 (= missing V3?): thicker than the others (no mismatch on the top of the upper lines, no EPMs) Pic4 (similar to V1): like V1 but the two sides of the mould don't quite line up (similar to the repro one on the guide)!? |

| Checked some ERG MOC pics on the web ... most of them were too bad to decide which pike was packed ... But I found a few pics of Made in Taiwan ERGs (MITW) that were clear enough. They showed definately that pike V1 (at least my personal V1 (=pic1), still not a 100% sure if it's the same ) was packed with. As Wolff mentioned above pike V2 belongs to the Made in Hong Kong ERG (MIHK). - wbobafett wrote:

Deducted by elimination V3 should be the correct mould for ERG Hong Kong on boots (HK). So in brief: Pike V1 - MITW ERG Pike V2 - MIHK ERG Pike V3 - HK ERG Remaining questions: 1. Does my pic1 really show pike V1? 2. Does my pic3 really show the missing pike V3? (Or is it just another repro?) 3. Is the pike on my pic4 just a poor mould of V1? (Or is it just another repro?) What do you think, gentlemen? |
