My son, Ethan and I went to 'Kerpow' comic Con today in St Austel, Cornwall.
It was only a small convention, run by the same guy that created the larger 'Devcon' at Plymouth back in May.
Its great that we are finally getting events like this down in the far south west of the U.K   

The main focus of the convention was celebrating the 75th anniversary of Batman, so my boy went as vintage D.C batman, although he still has a bit of growing to do before it fits him properly   

there was a small amount of vintage SW and I picked up a few imperial figures to add to my very modest imperial army.
But there were also some great costumes, with a few SW characters, as well as a Tantive IV corridor backdrop. Hope you like the pics

Thanks for sharing those pictures Chris, I like the Tusken Raider costume. The picture of Ethan asleep in the car is great. It perfectly sums up what a great day he must have had.

Some great looking costumes there, if I had not come home from that part of the UK on Saturday I would have tried to have gone to that.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, Ethan and I had a really great day together.
His favorite part was just hanging out with all the other guys in costume, outside the front of the building, rather than the comic con itself   

The Cylon was very cool, his helmet even had a strobing red dot in the visor and various sound effects like the 'wooh wooh' sound of the red dot and 'By your command' etc

my favorite was the Tusken raider, his costume was film grade quality and at first he didn't move when I took his photo, so I wasn't sure if there was anyone inside or if it was a manikin.
Then after i took the pic he bowed his head to me, which gave Ethan a bit of a fright   

It was a great day and we look forward to going to a much larger one in London at the end of October  

Chris, it maybe worth starting a thread in 'TIG Competitions & Community Events' to promote the London event in October, in case a few TIGers can attend & meet up.
