| Subject: boba Fett no COO?? Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:56 am | |
| I have just brought a job lot and within it there is a Boba Fett with no COO... I am at work writing this so dont't have any photos (will post some later) but was just scanning through ebay (sold items) and there was a no COO Mecanno Boba Fett sold for over £200!
So Im wondering, what is a Mecanno Boba Fett? How do I tell what one is (I have 9 Boba Fetts in this lot in total) Does the No COO alone denote a Mecanno Boba Fett?
Sorry for showing my ignorance, Im not on COO variations
Many Thanks |

| The job lott came but there were 9 Bobas...5 Hong Kong and 4 Tiawan Oh well. However, I also received a Kenner ESB card back in the lot. I guess my question is, as a completist, which type of Boba goes with the card back? |

| As you will already be aware from the other responses, a no coo Fett is not necessarilly Meccano. Was the 'lot' advertised as including a no COO Fett? If so, you may want to get a partial refund (assuming that you are happy with the other figures). As regards to your card back. What country is printed on the bottom of the card? That should help answer your question. There are variants among the Hong Kong & Taiwan Fetts, so if you can say precisely what cardback it is e.g. 48 back 'Revenge Of The Jedi' offer, the Fett collectors should be able to help |

| "The job lott came but there were 9 Bobas...5 Hong Kong and 4 Tiawan" = No Meccano. Yea, if it was advertised to include a no coo Fett I would ask for a partial refund too. But like everyone said here, just because it is a no coo Fett, it does not mean it is a Meccano. Where you bought the lot of figures has a lot to do with it also. The Meccano was only released in France. |

| This is the email the seller sent me before me buying them...
"Boba Fett x9 (weapons x4) (Hong Kong x7, Taiwan x3, None x1) x2= C8, x1 Green Variant! Luke Skywalker C7 (CHINA Raised Bar!) Han Solo C7 (Large Head) Lobot C8 (Weapon) Snaggletooth C8 (Weapon) Luke X-wing C7 (Weapon) Bib Fortuna C9 (Staff)"
I read that as 1 having no COO. However the numbers dont quite add up anyway 3+7+1 does not equal 9 lol.
Im not complaining. It was a nice job lot. Im not sure whichj of the Bobas is the 'green variant'. I dont even know what a 'green variant' Boba is. They all look the same to me. |

| Hello All. I found this boba fett in a lot I just purchased. I went for the lot because of the strange, lime green body armor (where it is usually orange), but when I received it I was surprised to see a smooth "no coo" back right leg. It has a small diamond shaped scar, but not the size large enough to cover a "hong" or a "kong". I see that there is a Meccano version like this, but this lot came from a random collection of star wars an pee-wee herman toys sent from Florida... I doubt it came from France I found this site: http://swspaceclub.com/wbobafett/boba-fett/ And it talks of a greenish color version, but states it is a HK coo. Does anyone know what this is?

| Also interesting to note... This version has a shorter right leg and a noticeable lean into it. Nothing is missing or damaged, it is clearly shorter. |

| The shorter leg can be found on many different figures- Leia Boussh etc. It looks like family I not family II (clearly defined copyright) so that eliminates it being a 'meccano' I'm not sure if the lime green chest is similar to the yellow vs orange parts (maybe batch change) The no markings is unusual it could be a 'short pour' similar to this: which would also explain the slight differenece in length. |

| Yes. That is the most likely option. Thank you for sharing that picture! |
