Was curious if there is a specific version of the Jawa blaster that is expected to be with a genuine vinyl cape jawa, or are any of them accepted to complete the figure?

Hi Jared I am not positive but I do believe the weapons stayed the same only the cape was switched if I could remember that far back or still had both then I could be positive, but from all I read about them only the cape was change as Kenner didn't want to feel they were ripping people off by selling one with a cheap plastic cape. I am far from a expert on VC Jawa figures but this little bit of info is what I have always gone by :

My thoughts are that a VC Jawa would have probably had a Semi Translucent Dark Green gun - either with or without the side bump .

If you are wondering what AFA would accept : I know I have sent 3 VC Jawa's into them and I have always sent a "Semi Translucent Dark Green gun without the side bump" in with them and they were all accepted and graded   

As unreliable as AFA can tend to be though , I would suspect that they most likely would accept any Jawa gun variant .

I also wouldn't be a bit surprised if other gun variations have actually been found on carded examples - hopefully one of the more knowledgeable guys here can chime in with more definite information

So my understanding is that it seems like the darker/black weapon can be substituted in from a cloth cape jawa in order to have a complete original correct VC jawa. Nice to know there's nothing particularly rare about the weapon.

I've heard debates on the Bump vs. no Bump on the blaster and also color. I don't know what the final answer actually is. I saw a thread on RS not too long ago with someone saying the correct blaster has no bump, but my counter comment was :
