When my brother moved out last year, I talked my wife into letting my collection move in!

There are a lot of photos, so I hope it is okay if I link to another forum where they are posted. Mods, if this is not okay to do, please let me know and I will load the photos here.

Great to see you posting here Derek. I like the clean display of vintage with a bit of modern as well.

Thank you for the kind words, James! And I don't know what you did, but thank you for enlarging all my photos!
I hope to become more active here, as well as a couple other places. There are so many collectors, and each of us can bring something to the table. So I see no reason to stick with just one forum!

There have been some new additions, so updated photos will be coming soon.

Great room man. It looks like a kids room (and i mean that in a very cool way!) with everything nicely in place and set up for playing!!

Nice to see you here posting BTW!

Sweet room! The retro figures are actually what got me back into vintage collecting 8 or so years ago.

Great collection Derek! (and a fair swap exchanging a brother for a collection in the room Laughing )

Love all the little scenes you have set up with the figures next to vehicles. Look forward to the new additions you mentioned!
Btw if you ever want to take some individual shots of the cool ROTJ bookcase and glasses then they'll be most welcome in our TIG oddball section cheers

You are right. I really can not complain. This is the same woman who got me not one, but TWO Blue Snag figures for Christmas two years ago, and a Yak Face for Christmas last year!

It's been quite a while, so I thought a few updated pics would be in order. I have added a few more figures here and there to help fill out some of the playsets and vehicles. There are a few more things on the walls, and shelves have been filled up a little more as well.

There have been some new additions in the carded figure area as well. Once again, I have tried to go mostly vintage with a few nice modern pieces added in. A selection of my patch collection can also be seen on one of the walls. Getting those took a lot of time during Celebration VI! If we were not at a panel or on the dealer floor, we were getting patches!

Please excuse the cat box..... It is the one sacrifice I had to make. It is cleaned regularly, and I assure you there is no "cat smell" in the room. I never claimed to be a pet free home. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do. LOL

This is in the corner of our bedroom. My artwork and autograph area.

It's a never ending work in progress! Eventually I will have a couple more of those black book shelves in there, and that small little 9 cube thing will go in my wife's craft room. I'd also like to get a small desk in there, so when she is at work I can actually go and sit in my room and surf the web, watch a movie or keep messing with things and changing them around.

Thanks for taking the time to check out the updates!

I'm a bit disappointed you didn't try and turn the cat box into some sort of Hoth scene?
Smear some cat food on a Luke Hoth, hang him upside down, when kitty arrives you'll have a live action cave Wampa scene at least three times a day LOL.

Nice updates Derek, the collection room is looking good Cool

I guess we could have called it Wampa poop!

Dusting is the biggest issue. I live rural, on a main street. Every time I open a window, I get dust. One more reason why I really want a desk and chair in that room. It will be incentive to keep dusting.
