so I recently got (finally ) a poch green eyebrows leia hoth . of course the eyebrows are gone .
anyways its not an easy variant to come by and ive been looking forward to her arriving . to my amazement her hair is green ? :scratch: :scratch: the seller didn't tell me this fact . surely it should have come up but nope . anyways this reminds me of the toxic green limbs bossk topics that have been around and back to the age old question , is it degradation ? either way it surely is very cool and unique . anyone else have one like this ? check er' out        

Bill, I don't know about the poch but regular figures (usually Leia) are advertised as "green hair" from time to time, Chewbacca also is advertised as a "green bag" this is nothing more than degradation. In fact James (our chicken shack) one time showed this and explained that the green tint was almost like a film that was able to be wiped off revealing the color beneath. That's just what I know on the kenner ones, the poch may have mixed green in, but I doubt it.

I know I don't know much but I have been reading loads lately and I might have a theory about your green hair.....firstly I do definitely think it's discoloration kind of, but I also think it proves more that she had the famous green eyebrows, how, well if the green is showing from underneath on her head were it is thinner and worn then it could mean that this is the same for the green eyebrows? Because the eyebrows are very thin apps and exposed to light very easily and they also are green! The hair being so thick in paint(layers?) makes it dark brown? Until its worn/thin like her eyebrows.

This is only a theory I have and I dont know the factory process that well, but either way the green hint hair proves her even more in my mind

The green eyebrows come from a light green spray used in the face paint application masks I think. The hair is a completely different shade and a different spray mask also, so not the same paint station and in the case of poch I am not sure even the same paint color.

good theory ,But sadly it doesn't appear the hair has a film or has any brown left . I know of degradation , this is just so different unlike anything ive ever owned . ive been after a green eyebrows leai for quite some time , so of course im excited . ive seen many pictures from all the heavyweights Poch collections and just have never seen green hair like this . ive also never seen one advertised as such . it is a beauty as I only owned the more common "tex mex" faced poch version . thanks for your input guys

Go to eBay and type in leia green hair. There is one right now active that is hard to see the green, but if you clicked ended auctions you can find several like I am talking about. They are often called metallic green in the listing and this is just degradation. These are all Kenner figures I think and the majority are going to be u.s. Sellers. Bill's may not be the same since he says this is not the case. I honestly don't know enough about poch specificly to give any help. i do think with poch though the eyebrows and the hair are different colors from the start.

Bryan yeah ive seen those "metallic green hair" leias before but this looks very different in person as a friend of mine had one of those . on a side note ive only seen those on the regular first 12 leia but never a hoth one
