| Hi guys, since 2005 these type of fake items have been sold through ebay, I just can't understand why some sellers keep doing it When buying LL overstock items please keep this on mind: -There must be no melt signs anywhere on the edges of the torso parts, it doesn't matter if they claim these parts where underground or in the trash still torso edges should not have melt signs. -Cilinders on the middle part of torso must be present (they broke when torsos are taken apart). -Cilinder holes must not have any melt signs. -If the piece is discolored but it has lighter areas where original paint used to be, then the paint has been recently removed. This is how the edges of an unwelded torso should look like: More info on LL fake preproduction, overstock, prototype items here: http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=vintageebay&Number=2359100&Forum=,f100,&Words=banthapro&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=2359100&Search=true&where=bodysub&Name=&daterange=0&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post2359100

| Thanks for the warning & the info on how to spot genuine overstock parts. I have noticed an increase in LL overstock/prototype parts on eBay in recent months. Hopefully most people here wanting to buy items like that would try & source them from you, rather than risk being scammed!

| Non sonic welded does NOT look like this: as you can see the post is actually broken. I didn't look at the auction pictures properly |

| Saw these & wondered what makes them overstock vs heads that are pulled off Ledy figures I am not implying the seller is mistaken but at $100 each what's to stop people buying Ledy scouts for under $50 & attempting to double their money. |

| Shouldn't they be unpainted?
I guess the only way to distinguish whether the head was pulled from a figure would be to have one in hand and examine the hole for signs of damage or wear. |

| I'm sure some overstock parts are painted ( dark brown hair Luke Bespin head for example ) Popped heads can show no sign of 'damage' |

I forgot about that one. I've just seen some pics of other heads with partial & complete paint apps. - aussiejames wrote:
