DARK RESURRECTION VOL. 1
The next Volume in the Dark Resurrection series. I was impressed by the look and feel of the previous movie, so I hope this one will be as good, maybe even better. In case you missed it, here is Volume 0 which is maybe best described as Knights of the Old Republic meets Prometheus.

Honestly, the first one was better. Not that they didn't make a great effort to put together the second film but some of the acting was a bit campy. The first one worked really well because the actors were solid and the effects were good. This one felt more like some of the 70's Italian b-films. But definitely watchable.

Thanks for your comments, Julian. Much appreciated.
I agree with you, I found the first part more interesting to watch than the second part, though it was still quite OK. What might play a role is that the Vol. 0 Prequel was released in 2011, 4 years after the Original (Vol 1).
Let's have a look at what IMDB has to say about these movies:
Dark Resurrection Vol 0 : Ratings: 6.3/10 from 114 users
Maybe after the glorious days of "Spaghetti Westerns" it's time for "Spaghetti Sci-Fi"?
Dark Resurrection Vol 1: Ratings: 5.7/10 from 207 users
My biggest disappointment with the prequels is that they never explored the humanity of the characters, instead just delivering on bland explanatory dialog. Such as "general grievous's ship is straight ahead" etc etc....
...Not here though I found myself actually absorbed in these characters, and believing in their humanity. I also greatly enjoyed the visual aesthetic created by the lens filter, which served to blend the CGI elements into the action more realistically.
