How the hell do people do all the special effects, is there any simple programs you can get to do basic stuff at home?

hi, I stumbled on these films last week and just by chance put the film title in the search bar on TIG ...OMG they are well,,, just amazing, really recommend any sw fan to have a look at these, Disney really need to get hold of this mob to make the new films! there really low budget according to the research ive done but like I said there just amazing, you get a real weird feeling whilst watching these like the feeling you got when you first watched A new hope... unlike the feeling you get when you watch ep1,2 and 3...... I know that sounds weird but im sure if your reading this and a member you'll understand what I mean!!! I know im a bit late to this post but I just thought this is to good for people to miss!!!! enjoy!!

It is well worth bumping IMO. Why?
Because Dark Resurrection is a very well made and professional looking fan movie.
Great atmosphere, story, special effects, and sound track.

Maybe best described as Knights of the Old Republic meets Prometheus.

but your right it is a classic and as I understand it another one is on the way soon... cant wait, also cant find any info on a possible English dubbed version or if its available on dvd or even bluray??? any ideas???

Don't worry, it is meant in a positive way. We often bump threads that get buried in order to give greater exposure or re-ignite interest.

that's cool then I was about to lock all the doors and windows and get me lightsaber out just incase!!    I just know some forums can get really arsey about that kind of thing if you don't live and breath the site!
to be honest that's why I was a bit confused as this is the only sw forum I now use as in the beginning you guys were really helpful and understanding if I made any mistakes....which I did and probably will again!!  

also I didn't want to upset marco as we could be related as my sir name is Dutch!!!

thanks to all for your kind words, I promise i'll try to stick to my resolution and talking of resolution I managed to watch both the Dark Resurrection films 2day through utube on my 42" lcd in hd quality and its literally out of this world! a big must watch for every one.

hi all, not sure if i should start another thread!! not sure either if thats the right term!!  :scratch:  but i just wondered if anyone's also seen 'The Dark Redemption' on utube , another fan film! not as classy as 'Dark Redemption' but well worth a watch . its the story of how the death star plans get sent to Tantive IV ,,, it also features Mara Jade!! shes hot!!
