Hi Guys,
there is this very old article on the archive regarding dutch rubber bootlegs which appearently date back to 1977, even before Kenner was released and its said they came from the Netherlands.

Even among the bootleg specialists that seems to be the only info.
Question: was there any 'proof 'of this early date and the country of origin- was the early date reported by many? Any additional infos on these out there?
I am asking cause they seem to pop up with the same frequency in Germany and the other day smoeone told me he saw the small ones in a german supermarket in 1982 and they were bagged with a header (same thing was said in an old post here on RS as well). Also, I found two examples just recently on a small toy show and the dealers had no leads to the Netherlands. It has been believed that the snaller ones were made later so that would fit. But question remains when and where the larger ones where produced. Anyone remembering these from the childhood days? I think it would be amazing if it was for a fact that they were being sold before any 12-back hit the shelves. That would give these items really a special touch as one of the first sw figures ever...
ANY info/ 1st hand story in addition to what has been said on the forums would be great and btw- I'd love to buy Vader, Chewy and Stormy
Thanks,Mike
