| Subject: VINTAGE GUIDE FOR ALL LOOSE LICENSED FIGURES....UPDATE Feb 2011 Sun Dec 06, 2009 1:14 pm | |
| Hi there, as some of you maybe know, I'm planing to build up a guide for all loose vintage figures together with mike_skywalker.Im working on this now for a while! So here is the place I wanna give some input Plan is to document all known: COO Variants, Mold Variants, Color Variants, variants from firms like Glasslite, Ledy, Top Toys, Tolstoys, PBP/Poch, Meccano, Harbert, Palitoy, Takara etc. etc. Some sunlightdamaged figures went in to it, because they are so widely known by now. But I will classify them as such....als it is not easy to gather 900 figures without sunlight damaged ones! Content is: 1. coo comparison chart 2. figure comparison (front) 3. Figure comparison from the side (all on one pic) 4. mold comparison 5. facial detail comparison The guide will be sold (this is the plan) as *.pdf file. Content is about 600 COOs (some never shown in any forum....also more then 100 not shown in the coo reference guide...daily growing ) and a lot more figures (about 800-900). This is a huge project and will last a while. So please be patient...I´m putting every free minute in this (this is why I think we sell it)! The *.pdf-file will be huge (seriously I dont know how this is gonna be but maybe 300 MB). So all sheets are linked. You can navigate with Adobe Acrobat Reader and with full screen modus you have the feeling beeing on a website. So this is it....ahhh forgot to mention: - no weapons are classified here...therefore you have the T.I.G. THIS IS ONE OF A KIND PROJECT!! So hope you're feeling happy and looking forward to it. Here are some pics: UPDATE:I did some more work on ESB (more to follow)....156 sheets:

| It's looking fantastic Wolff. I am more than happy to pay for all the effort you & Mike are putting into it. But how do you stop someone just copying it and giving it away for free? I understand getting a book published is very expensive(even Mr Kellerman didn't make any money) I know I am not alone in saying I am very happy and looking forward to it |

| This looks like it will be an excellent guide. I don't blame you for trying to make a little money on this as I can hardly imagine the amount of time a project like this will take up. I look forward to hearing more about this. |

but back to the point
my question is how many variations of the bikerscout do you have on record
thanks 1. rare-o-meter: This is not going to happen, because thats really really really subjective. An objective rare-o-meter is nearly impossible. i.e. whats rarer: pink face or white face darkjacket rebel soldier??? A lot of guys think its the white face. IMO they are nearly equal....Also: the darkjacket rebel soldier is not so rare here in Germany. In US the prices are more then double then here. So a rare-o-meter also depends from the market you are actual in next point is that the actual market prices dont value the real rarity of a figure. A blue snag still reaches 100 USD while a PBP 4-lom is about 250 worth. But com'on the 4 -lom is a 10000 times rarer then the blue snag.... 2. Biker scout: If I imagine right there will be 12 different biker variants in the guide....maybe more! wolff |

| That gets more impressive every time I see it, Wollf! You came along way from your start on RS. I just wish I still had all the ones I had to compare or add to your list, but I doubt I'll go that route again. I'll just stick with a basic set and be happy, but with me you can never tell. I might get the bug again for varients. |

| Hi New here on the forum
This looks awesome, great work. If the price is right, I'll definitely buy one.
btw It's just a idea. Is it possible to put up a preliminary version of this book. That way you could get feedback from the collectors community, and mistakes could be corrected. It should be easy to watermark the pages to prevent strange things happening with your pages.
cheers, Hans |

hmmm, difficult to say! At the moment live is a little harsh.....I check and hope I will find soon time to get it on!! Good news: got Rog hired! He is the one who will help to make it complete!!!Definetly!! Mirco/Mike and I definatly have a lot of figures but Rog has also a quite big and amazing collection. For me he IS the uncrowned King of coos.....He made me starting collecting coos ...making the guide on rs and keeps me going on and on! (still have not all figures he has .......crumbling crumbling ) wolff |

You mean when the release is???? I dont know...with work here is difficult...Im now working 500 kms away from collection for half an year. Secondly, Im still missing out a few key figures. Main problem is nearly solved....working out all coos. If the order of the coos is cleared I can start photographing all 800 figures Last problem...have to say something to every figure....LOL...that also can last! You wanna push this???? HELP ME OUT HERE: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/vintage-starwars-classifieds-f3/wtb-lili-ledy-and-lots-of-loose-figurespictured-wanted-list-t421.htm Wolff |
