I have recently purchased a Palitoy Darth Vader ROTJ 65 back and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it has been recarded? I am 90% sure that it hasn't but there is still that small bit of doubt in my mind. Any info/tips on how to spot recards would be greatly appreciated.

A recard would mean the card itself is fake. It's best to google image search graded examples of the EXACT same item ie. Palitoy- same cardback etc. Then check for bubble size, position, punch hole, font of all text etc. To me the card looks fine. The next concern would be if it's a reseal where all items are original but the bubble has been re attached. You need to closely examine the seal area. Unfortunately this particular item will not have the waffle pattern. Try a UV/black light to check the use of glue.

Thanks for the info and quick reply. It's just those small areas of wear down the side and underneath that is casting doubt in my mind. I used a high magnification jewelers loupe to look at the small dots that are present from the printing process and they are all aligned perfectly which leads me to sway to it not having been tampered with. Do you know if the areas of wear around the edge of the bubble are a common occurrence on untouched carded examples?
