Know it's not figures or bootleg, just didn't know where to post, move if needed Smile
Found these in the store today, was a bit tempted, they where rather cool lit up lol. The sound effects where like a real sword hehe.

Oh hey! I think I saw these in the states about a month ago. I was baffled by the metal sound effects but thought it was a good toy saber nonetheless.

Speaking of dodgy Lightsabers, has anyone seen an old 'Force Beam' go up for sale in recent times?

They were popular in the vintage era, and I quite liked mine despite it being a torch with a plastic tube stuck to it. I reckon it was better than a torch with a long balloon stuck to it. Smile

I've been keeping half an eye out for one, but I've never seen one turn up.

My brother and I had "Force Sabers" when we were kids and it is one of the few things I still have on my "to get" list that I really want.
I talked myself out of bidding on one ten years ago that was absolutely mint and it sold for $21. There have been two that I have seen on eBay this year and I missed them both Evil or Very Mad

One was just the red Flashlight/torch handle but it had the end cap and ring. I was going to bid on it at the last minute but I was on my phone and it didn't make the connection in time and I missed getting it for $8. It was relisted and went for $40 a week later. The other one I saw had the tube but was missing the ring piece and it went for a similar amount of money iirc.

Are these the 'Force Beam' sabers you mean?

That's the very things, Artoo_Detour.

They made a huge re-appearance in the UK around the time of ROTJ. It seemed as if every store had cardboard stands full of them. And they sold too due to their cheapness.

Thanks for the info, dcarty. It looks like getting one isn't easy. Which is weird - when they came to mind recently I assumed there would be a few of them up for sale. I was expecting 'somebody clearing the attic' type sales rather than collectors/ traders due to the sheer volume there was of the things. But ziltch!

Arguably the best thing about them is this bit of artwork which - unless I'm mistaken - shows Obi-Wan with a cameltoe!

I remember this picture being on the in-store stands despite being far too young to make cameltoe jibes at the time!
