| This thread originally contained what was essentially a rant by me about an auction ending early which pissed me off.
End of the day, any seller can do what the hell the like with there things so it is irrelevant.
Mods please delete this thread.

| Money talks, been there, done that, had it done to me before by other sellers. There is nothing that can be done about it.
I'll now go back to my fence which I like sitting on.

| I know it's shit isn't it, I think they should at least have a 'reason' installed on ebay which states "this auction ended because some people don't like playing fair" I've had people make offers on my stuff before after bidding has started and I always say no despite things often selling for less than the offer, but that's fair at the end of the day. If no one else had bid then I don't have a problem then, it's the sellers choice and IMO it's still fair 'watching' something isn't bidding, you've got to be in it to win it. Sorry guys but this just really drains me, I can so see why so many people are leaving the hobby |

| I seen this happen before then suddenly the item is found and relisted after a few days go figure I am bidding on a few of his figs at the moment so at least a bid is on them. |

| Yeah, your right Stefan, it's just the next of of him doesn't always come round that often especially in that super mint condition, chances are i would gone beyond my price range anyway, but it just drained me, probably made worse by the fact I'm still pissed off about the Blonde LL Luke Royal Mail lost!!! Like you said though I guess, hey ho, that's just the way it is. I'm going to get drunk and concentate on something else, like the next one Mods, feel free to delete this thread, my anger is vented. |

| Hey man, I can only guess what it feels like to see Moby but only to have him ganked away by some crappy God. But it is what it is... it sucks, but from a seller's standpoint, I have used the feature to stop an auction (with NO bidders) so I could re-work what I was selling. Not to do behind the doors sales, but I was happy I could change things up. I also am not saying that if I had a great offer behind the scenes I wouldn't jump on it and end an auction without bidders, but it would take a lot for me to do that. Anyway............ it does seem to be the norm, not just in SW, but ANYTHING ebay, so while it sucks, I personally don't get worked up about it. I know I am not helping here nor am I hurting, so I will just say this... ebay is ebay. ugh... I hope you get that LB eventually man! cheers! |

| Cheers Jay, and although it pissed me off, I'm already over it, like you said it's become the norm. As for getting one evenually, I already have 2 but there are potentialy 9 different COO variants, which I'd like for the focus, but arnent that fussed, but damn that was mint! Kudos to the new owner I guess, unless it was actually lost or broken |

| Thanks for that AJ, adequetly cooled off In some respects could this ype of activity be like 'shooting your self in the foot'? I terms of other people bidding, there was a couple of other figure I was considering bidding on, now I have no interest and the same will apply in the future, because to me it would be pointless because what if some one just makes a offer? Just wondering how many other bidders are thinking and doing the same thing. Glad I never bid on any of the others because if I had I would be retracting all my bids because I 'put in the wrong amount' I think in future I'll just stick to the board classifieds for stuff like this, at least you know where you are there. |

- I've always wondered what's in it for the seller to end an auction early? They save ebay fees & get a price they are happy with. But risk losing potentially more money if there is a second, third... bidder. They can 'protect' this by ending the auction and putting it up for sale with a BIN/near offer at the price they were offered or more.
DelToro is great to deal with but I am disappointed this trend is so prevalent. |

| I agree totally, I've dealt with him before and it's was perfect, and like you said why not just stick it up for a BIN price.
Every single person watching or bidding on an item which is then suddenly ended knows exactly whats happened and just get annoyed and are unlikely to use the seller again. There is probably a tiny fraction of cases where the figure is actual lost or broken and even then everyone will just think the same anyway(I once lost a figure after the auction ended it took 3 weeks to find, I explained this to the buyer and sent it on to him).
I just think it's a bad practise, bad for the sellers rep, more than anything unfortunately. |

| No funny business, seller has seen the light & will let auctions run their course. |

| Although it's nice to see the figures return, does the whole bidding seem a little odd?? Take Luke for example, starting bid $9.99, someone then pops in a $51.99 bid, which is not anything unusual, but then someone sporting just one feedback whaps in a $250 bid??? this is then beat in just 1 bid??? no creeping up??? very odd. C-3PO, Staring bid again$9.99, realistic second bid of $12.00, then another massive third bid (same bidder as on the Luke) of $213.00 which is then beat again in one bid by a bid of $215.50 by the very same one feedback guy. These two interested in any of the other auctions? obviously just the MOC and the one with the cardback, the only other two you probably would't want to loose money on. Sorry but it all seems very odd or at least unusual behaviour, I'm not even in it any more, way beyond my price range, but mmmmm. |

| The C-3PO removable limbs bags are like rocking horse shit. The figures are easy to come by but not the bags.
A bag sold last week on ebay for £95....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Mexican-Star-Wars-Lili-Ledy-C-3PO-W-REMOVABLE-LIMBS-BAG-ONLY-/261232344487?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=F6PKL%252B33%252Bu9xtrK5bZoSTJxJX%252FA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Anyway Ledy prices are at a low at the moment imo, take the luke jedi one of these would have cost you £100 last year, now you can pick them up for £70.
