PostSubject: My WTB List   My WTB List I_icon_minitimeThu Apr 25, 2013 11:53 am

Hello everyone I've been posting for a while now so hopefully folks have got to know me a bit. I thought it was time to try my luck in the classifieds thread. I’m not after anything too challenging but am getting a bit fed up with ebay and its over inflated prices and postage charges. I have a feedback thread opened by James “ourchickenshack” and I'm hoping others will also feel confident in selling to me, cheers.

My current wtb list:

2x rounded transition tip Vader sabers.
1x Taiwan variant Vader saber.
1x Bespin Leia cape   Found
1x  Leia blue blaster
1x Yoda orange snake  Found
1x Yoda light brown cane Found
1x nice minty white Luke stormie  (with or without accessories)
2x Luke Farm Boy sabers (don’t mind which variant)
1x Chewie bowcaster (palitoy, tri-logo variant) Found

red tubing to complete my Kenner droid factory playset

Palitoy paperwork for DV tie fighter, turret and probot playset, cardboard death star playset and imperial attack base playset.
Mint, loose Vader variants

I'm also after a working controller for the radio controlled sandcrawler.

If you can help with any of the above items please PM me.
Cheers, Chris.

have you tried without the remote? It should go forwards when turned on. A remote for the R2 should make it go backwards Wink

Thanks for the advice A.J. Yeah i tried connecting a fresh battery to it and turning it on to see if the motor would run, but nothing. The battery compartment is clean with no sign of any corrosion. I might try and open it up to get at the motor, maybe it just seized up over time like on some of the other vehicles. perhaps i can free the motor up with a little bit of graphite or something thinking

Yeah i thought about picking up an R2 remote off e bay as they are quite a bit cheaper, but i wasn't entirely sure it would work on the sandcrawler. Besides i would rather have the real thing and one that moved forwards Laughing

well after taking the top off i noticed that the rear copper contact was a little corroded, so i cleaned it up with some vinegar. But when i switched it back on, nothing No The next problem was that the motor was housed inside another casing with original tape all over it holding the wiring in place. As i didn't want to tamper with this if i could help it, I thought i'd just try pushing the base around on the table first, hoping the motion of the rear wheels would free up the motor. and eureka cheers cheers cheers when i switched it back on, it trundled off across the table, woop woop   So now at least i know it works, great news, thanks A.J
