| Calling all LEDY experts and even non-LEDY experts. I recieved the bottom Bowcaster with a LEDY lot recently, however it isn't as BLACK as my 100% confirmed LEDY Bowcaster at the top. When held up to a light it is semi-transparent. Is this the DARK GREY variant? I don't have one to compare it against. Thanks in advance. |

| Cheers AJ, I already have 2 solid black ones belonging to a Ledy Chewbacca & Rebel Commander.
However this came with another Chewbacca from Mexico, and what concerns me is it isn't SOLID black like my others.

| Well, I have two items that could probably helps us here. I think that almost all LL figures and LL accessories where injected on transparent plastic, color was added depending on each character, so if you where done with an specific figure, before starting a new process for the next character you needed to clean injectors, (now I understand those transparent 'purge mold' figures). Take a look: This LL Squid Head Belt looks transparent, but at closer inspection you can actually see how the color was being added while this belt got injected. This LL B-Wing Pilot arm has the same characteristic that your bowcaster, it looks 'light red' and almost transparent, you can even see some residues inside of it: So I think you have there a LL bowcaster that looks a bit transparent because black color was barely added to the plastic when it got injected. I hope this helps. Cheers Ozio |

| Very interesting, it still amazes me that after 30+ there is still much to learn about star wars toys. |

Excellent info Ozio. You have answered a question that I posed several months ago regarding a Palace Blaster that I have which is transparent with black swirls of pigment running through it. Big + on its way! |

Thinking about this.. Why would the factory stop batch XX for the bowcaster and start another batch with a different color right after? That would only make sense to me if multiple colorsvariant of this weapon were produced which I'm unaware of. Otherwise i'd keep on producing until i have enough for both batches. Perhaps something to do with 2-shifts and cleaning the machine in between or closing the factory down for the night. This is more probable to me than 2 different runs of the same bowcaster right after each other. Just my thoughts |

| Or a portion of one batch is not mixed properly. dark grey vs black? V3 black/blue V3 blue/green V3 green V1 blue V1 dark grey V6- dark blue V2 - black/blue (top) blue/black (bottom) V2 blue green |
