| Does anyone remember this set of TT figures which were for sale on RS back in Jan 2013? http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1093287/ I remember at the time been pretty pi$$ed that they were only for sale as a set, however it's now been stripped/graded and broken up for sale on eBay.... edit: it looks like the Lando vibro-axe has actually been broken up!! |

| 1. Where the heck is the Luke???
2. Why did the Yoda get an "U"??? I can see the tiny paintrub to the hands is different....so this isnt the same figure I guess. But I know that Yoda (I am pretty sure) and it was taken from card several times before it got that "U". I will check and let you know!
3. The Lando is no proto....it is the helmet. I thought people would know what they buy. Jason described it as it is: Helmet was sold to him as proto, but it is unsure if it is real.

PS: If anyone is interested I have pictures of the former Moc with details of the bubble I was just thinking the same thing. Surely if it has been U-Graded then it was removed from the bubble by the grader - only thing I can think is that the figure was only ever packed with half a belt - but that doesn't make much sense either |

| On another note, how did the yellowing Stormie get a 75 - does yellowing affect the grade as it has a fair bit of paint loss to it's hands as well |

I have learned that as well not long ago: yellowing doesnt affect the grading. Ridiculous if you ask me! - itfciain wrote:

The belt fell out for sure. It is lifted heavily ( I would say) |

| If the bubble lifted enough for the belt half to fall out then surely it can't be U-Graded Has anyone noticed that the plastic vibro axe (used originally for decoration!) has broken so instead of discarding it, they have put it in the case |

| I really doubt this should get a "U"......what do you think??? (And no matter what...it is a shame it was opened!) It is the same yoda if you ask me. See paint irregularities and rubs to hand, feet, face etc... |

| I thought if it were possible to touch the figure though the lifting/crack then it couldn't be U-graded
And I agree - it shouldn't have been U-graded anyway - especially as it was always going to get a low grade due to the broken belt |

| I've seen a lot of carded top toys figures and the bubbles are rubbish, so I find in easy to believe the belt snapped (they are very brittle!!), and feel out of a partially sealed bubble.
I saw and commented on the vibro-axe, again shame!! |

It is the same yoda if you ask me. See paint irregularities and rubs to hand, feet, face etc... Hello everyone, for 1 I sent the figure to AFA and when they opened it the yoda was busted out of the bubble so they just u-graded it as I no longer get u-graded items to sell. I bought it knowing it was missing 1/2 the belt. I kept the yoda and the luke from the set as the luke looked just a little different from mine. This afa u60 was in my collection until I received the loose one. The lando staff was broken in shipping from Jason to afa shame. I was the one who lost out here but yet you guys are bashing me, I sent a moc yoda into afa and it busted out of the bubble and the lando staff broke. I stated that the lando was non confirmed proto not a real one? Im pretty sure a lot of you guys could pm me first before blasting me to find out the real story behind what I do. Jeff |

Turk Turk, I do not even know you and you have no idea who I am? You just made a boat load of money off your Uzay find so should I call you a dollar sign boy as well??? Clueless!! I run open auctions so I take a loss a lot of the time, but I bring a lot of great items to a lot of great collections, and I have never screwed anyone over in the 22 years I have been collecting and selling. | Shame the Yoda burst out the bubble while transit. The question remains to me personally how afa could grade this a U then?!?!? If the figure wasnt freed by themself they could be tricked any time....dont they???
I thought sth like the staff beeing broke while transit Jeff, but I still think your describtion sounds like that the "whole" figure is assumed to be a proto, not only the helmet! That is/was my problem. But maybe I didnt read it quite right!
I was btw not bashing you......I still think afa is to blame for U gradings because they offer the service, thats all! |

| Youre right Jeff I and others could contact you privately, sorry if you feel attacked. One question though the lando is advertised as a possible proto as if its in question. But in Jasons thread it clearly states he has Isashi make a custom figure and staff. Wouldnt it make sense to mention that only the helmet is a possible proto?

Turk I had to go back a read it myself so I will fix that today as I never want a buyer unhappy. Thanks Jeff |

| I was going to throw a little friendly warning here, but I think it's getting back to the subject matter. Jeff does make a point that he never hides or doesn't anwser when someone has a question. As a follower of his auctions he just lets them go, sometimes a home run, sometimes a big whiff and miss. Never seen any games. I'll give him kudos on taking losses and profits with the same mentality. On the other side Jeff I have to agree that the auction is worded so that the figure is the focus. Only the helmet was a possible proto. Here's the text from Jason's F/S - jedge2000 wrote:
- Lando Skiff Helmet on Custom Ghost Figure:
I bought this helmet way back - before the business with Pablo blew up and brought into question the validity of the Pepsi Promo stuff. The helmet came from an ebay seller from Argentina who also had 3 luke sabers and 2 yoda belts, and a variety of blasters. They told me that TopToys sales folks would provide extra accessories to store owners because the bubbles were so poorly sealed - they regularly lost accessories before purchase. So - full disclosure - this helmet may be fake, but the story is compelling as it has become a dark part of the history of the line. I thought a ghost-like figure would be the coolest way to display the helmet - so I had Isashi create this for me. One-of-a-kind display piece for an interesting item.
I know you aren't trying to scam anyone, but if you re-read your post it doesn't look like the figure is what your describing. If it were me, I'd stop the auction and start fresh with the correct description. This'll just give you headaches. |

| Jeff, almost all those uzay are in my PC, and the rest went to a good friend for prices that were half of market value. I didnt sell a single one for profit and would never buy such a big collection to do so. On the other hand, it is widely known why you aggresively go after big collections, so I'll leave it at that.
Sorry john for getting OT again just felt like I needed to defend myself, I'll go back into my hole now.... |
