| Hi Guys, I hoping some ledy experts would give me some advice regarding some ledy figures I bought off ebay recently. I have some queries regarding them. First up is a complete LEDY BIB FORTUNA which I bought (Pictured on the left below). I think the ledy accessories look okay but the Ledy Bib looks different to a Loose Incomplete Ledy Bib that I already owned (pictured on the Right below). The eyes look home painted and the paint apps on the wrist and hands are not as dark as I thought a Ledy Bib should be (as in the TIG Ledy guide). Could this be a Ledy Bib variant? Second up is a FIXED LIMBS LEDY C3PO. The limbs are Mega Stiff, I really struggle to move them at all, I don't want to try too hard as I don't want to break it, I am worried that they have been glued! I did a little research on Rebel Scum and found the topic about DSD or C-3PO seemingly 'glued' limbs Question . On there it says that for the Kenner figures "the limbs weren't glued. The plastic figured were vac-metalized after assembly causing the limbs to attach to the body with a thin layer of vac metalization." However on the same page from Wollfe it says "Ledy and PBP 3pos have already loosed legs, because the metalization technique they used didnt worked in the area of the crotch. So they moved the legs and spryed the area with goldcolor. And this really looks different then the metalized areas." Does a mega stiff Ledy fixed limbs C3PO exist or does this look glued, I've attached pictures below. Cheers, Rob |

| No problem at all with your Bib, the paint app on the face its just a bit to the left, that's why it looks strange I guess. 3PO looks glued, you can even see the glue and the burn marks to the plastic, that's what CRAZY GLUE do to this type of plastic. Glue: Glue damage: Hope this helps. Cheers Ozio |

| So can the paint apps on the hands and wrist be this lighter colour? I thought in here it said that they should be darker .Bib TIG Ledy Guide. Ledy on right (From TIG guide). The figure I am querying is the one on the Left (In my first post that has lighter paint apps on the hands and wrists). |

| Thanks Ozio, I thought it was glue but I've never had a Ledy C3PO so I wasn't sure what to expect.

| Here is another pic with a comparison to a Kenner Figure. Kenner Figure on Left, Questionable Ledy Figure in Middle, Ledy Figure on right. The questionable Ledy one has really dodgy eyes. The paint colour and application on the hands look different on all 3. |

| The Bib in the middle is definitely Ledy due to the distinctive colour of the plastic that forms the head & the paint used for the facial features. I didn't previously look at the paint colour on the hands & wrists. Is it me or is the colour of the figures right hand darker than the left? As Wolff suggested there may have been some over painting to improve the 'look' of the figure, but then the paint does have wear. The hand / wrist paint of my Ledy Bibs matches that of your figure on the right. What's the history of the piece? |

What's the history of the piece? Cheers, On closer inspection it looks like there is a colour showing through on the wrists which matches my ledy figure so I think it is a ledy figure where the hands/wrists have been repainted. I am assuming that this isn't something that would be done in a Ledy factory so it was done by previous owner. (I tried taking a picture but I can't seem to get a good focused picture in this light). I bought this off a UK ebayer with good feedback, so I am assuming that they were sold to him in this condition and that he was unaware of it. I wanted to be certain before I got in touch with him about my queries. I'll enquire where he got them from. (The other ledy figures I bought at the same time look okay). Thanks, Rob |
