| I've deleted the first post ( pic & link ) it only finished yesterday. Repost it in a week. The forum is visible to the public as well as members. If someone has taken a gamble & gets backdoored that would suck.
IMO the only 'real' unpainted helmets are Ledy overstock ( HK - lettered helmets ) Perhaps there was a batch of unpainted Taiwan helmets. The one above is unusually light.

| Outing only just finished auctions keeps happening. It needs to be a sticky topic, or something. Why can't people wait a week to account for postage? |

| [img] [/img] I made an attempt here to upload a picture for the first time so I hope it worked. I got a frontal view of all of the helmets together from the auction and I attempted to outline a box around the areas where the helmet still has some discoloration to it. In the auction the seller stated that the helmet on the left was a taiwan production version and the one on the right is a hong kong version. As you can see the middle helmet has slightly darker areas near the top and front where the dark gray color is normally located. In my opinion this helmet has been stripped and the chemical made the plastic a lighter yellow but it was unable to completely get rid of all of the gray color that had leeched into the plastic. |

I never meant to cause trouble, but how was I suppose to know about the "1 week" rule"? |

| No worries walkie. There is a sticky thread about outing live auctions, but not about just finished auctions: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t810-is-it-real-outing-a-live-auction-is-not-permitted
I just hate the idea of people being backdoored by some of the scumbags that are out there. The winning bidder might not get the chance again. |

| The one on the middle really does look light. Maybe a resin cast or something? |

| yeah i'm pretty sure i'd seen somewhere that palitoy released a dark tan leg variant, i found this moc on the vectis auction web site. [img] [/img] and i was just looking at my palitoy ESB 30 card back and the variant on that not only appears to have dark tan legs but dark tan fur around the hood. Also there appears to be white detailing on his boots and that of the hoth rebel soldier. Or could this be just too high a contrast setting when they produced the card. [/img] [img] [/img] oh and i remembered where i had seen that variant. http://www.highasakoit.co.uk/starwars/hanhoth.php[img][img] I know this isn't conclusive proof but thought it might be helpful |

| http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t4334-the-official-fotw-thread-han-hoth Seems like the third Han from the right. Comparison of different leg colours. From left to right: 1 = COO #1, 2 = COO #5, 3 = COO #2, 4 = COO #2 (moulded legs variant), 5 = COO #3, 6 = COO #5 (PBP), 7 = COO #2 (POCH). |

Chris, those figures on the Palitoy 30-back are prototypes, never released on cards (unfortunately).

| i had a feeling that might be the case, thanks for the info Marco. So therefore they would be kenner prototypes and palitoy just used their images for their card backs. sorry for being such a novice, but i'm learning.

I suspect it's the same as Scott's 'Palitoy' baggie: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t4334-the-official-fotw-thread-han-hoth |
