I got a nice Luke Stormie coming my way but he is missing his helmet and blaster. I went for it because he looks close to minty white and close to mint condition too and ended up being a decent price. All the one i have seen so far were way too expensive and have rosey limbs.
I have seen a lot of repros on ebay but not really interested in those. I might buy one to complete the look but i want a real deal one.
I was wondering how much this helmet would roughly go for? I am going to need one for sure and i ll post an ad when i am ready for it but just wanna get the feel of how much to expect to pay.
cheers

Helmet & blaster = $50.
I had to laugh at this 'repro' vintage Luke stormtrooper helmet
it's a pez head ? maybe just a modern one?

i tought of about the same price, so if i would offer 50$ for the helmet alone it would be fair. Nice. I am paying my stormie 50 some dollars so i am not getting off that badly then.
i have seen that pez head on ebay actually, i never tought it was just that a pez head. The seller is selling it as a repro stormtrooper helmet. I am not impressed now.

does anyone have clearer pictures of an original helmet so i can see the details i would need to look for to identify one. the ones on the guide are somehwat blurry and i have seen other repros than the ones on the guide...
Any help would be appreciated.

Bud
The telltale sign on the helmet is the mold circle. The repro helmets have a mold circle on the back. The originals don't. Obviously there is also nothing "modern" like coloring or side vents like you see nowadays. The other thing to look out for is a stormtrooper helmet made from the remains of an actual stormtrooper figure (they chop the head and dremel the edges) but they're easy to spot.
Remember on the blaster, solid black ONLY.
Price wise, expect $50 for both accessories.

yes i have seen the blasters on the guide here. The blaster is not the biggie right now. The helmet will be.
I could get one that is complete and resell the figure on its own to make my money back. But if i can i d like to go the helmet way instead. But i burned my weekly Star wars budget for the next few week so i have to wait. I am sure opportunity will present itself. And i ll post ads here and on the scum forum and quiz my sources....
