| Hi all, I need some help on No-COO-figures, especially on Nien Nunb no COO #4 in Wolff's Guide. Over the years I've learned a few things about No-COO-figures: A "no COO scar" often indicates that a figure is a PBP or Trilogo/European variant (like Luke X-Wing-Pilot #5 and #6 or the AT-AT-Commander #7). "Melted down COOs" can also be found on Trilogo/European variants. Some No-COO-figures seem to be comparatively rare. There are some No-COO-figures which were only found in France on Meccano Cards but were not produced there (like the Rebel Soldier #6). But there are a lot of question marks left ... Maybe someone can help me with Nien Nunb #4. The other No-COO-Nien-Nunb (#5) can be found quite frequently but #4 not (at least I do not see him very often). What is known about this variant? Is he a so called Meccano variant too? Thanks for your help! Patrick

| Hi mate
Well, until Wolff chimes in i can give you another opinion...
#4 indeed is the hardest of the no coo's to find (he was the last one on my Nunb list) Mine came from Germany and, i have seen at least another 2 there so there could be a general mills(GM)/palitoy connection there similar to one or two other figures. He is one of those figures that often has discoloured limbs like the dark belt HK Fett.
Hope this helps a bit..
Cheers, Lee |

Cheers, Lee Hi Lee, thanks for this info. That's interesting because I found mine in France and I thought that this could be a hint of being a meccano variant. Cheers, Patrick |

| Hey Patrick, It took me forever to find Nien Numb #4 as well. I just recently acquired mine from a US seller on eBay (???). Not sure what to think of that, but I am glad the hunt is over!

Interesting thread.
Patrick: how about changing the title to "no COO Nien Nunb"?
In this way the thread can be found easily, when members are searching for info on this Nien Nunb figure.

| Hi Marco, you are right, that's a more appropriate title and I have changed it already. When I originally posted this thread I thought other no coo figures could be discussed here too. But maybe it's better to have an own thread for each "interesting" no coo figure.

| Thank you Patrick. + on your way. Better to have separate threads with questions about specific no COO figures indeed. Once there are quite a few, we could make a master thread linking to all of them. |
