| **** Last week I watched Return of the Jedi, and it was for the first time I released there is something weird about Leia. In the second half of the movie Leia joins a small group of Rebels on their mission to blow up the Imperial shield generator on Endor. It is a dangerous and important mission. If they fail, Ackbar's Rebel Fleet attack on the Death Star will be pointless, and the Rebel Alliance will be doomed. Looking at the scene where Leia meets Wickett, you can see that Leia took her mission very seriously and was well prepared. - Helmet: Check!
- Camouflage poncho: Check!
- Boots: Check!
- Gun: Check!
- Biscuits to feed the natives: Check!
In the next couple of scenes we see Han, Luke, Chewie, R2 and C-3PO being worried about Leia, starting searching for her, and eventually being captured by Ewoks. As they are brought back to Ewok Village, suddenly Leia appears in an elegant evening dress. - ....Elegant evening dress: Check!
W… Wa… Wai… Wait… Wait a minute ! ....evening dress??!!! Why you need a dress for a very crucial, high security, high risk commando operation? Was that part of a Plan B, to seduce Imperials out of their bunker? Well, I admit the dress looks quite attractive from a different point of view (see pic below), but I doubt professionally trained Imperials (one of the best legions, according to the Emperor), would be trapped by it. So I still don't understand, what was Leia thinking? Why bringing the dress to Endor? And were she was hiding it in the first place, within her helmet, underneath her poncho? Maybe the dress wasn't Leia's. Maybe the Ewoks had a first class wardrobe in their village just in case members of the Imperial Senate would pop up in their village one day? Or did Logray secretly walk around in over-sized dresses in his little tree hut, while Teebo, Lumat, Paploo had to hunt for wild and dangerous animals during the day. I am confused, what is going on here? Who knows the answer?

| I've always assumed that after Leia befriended Wicket she was taken back to the village, accepted by the Ewoks and they knocked the dress up for her. But as you say, why mess about having a made to measure dress & a new hairdo, when you're on such an important mission? Probably best not to think about it too much. Maybe she smoked one of their pipes, got high & forgot about the mission! |

| yeah I always figured the ewoks kind of forced to be their eye candy ... much like they were going to force 3 po to be their god. and were going to cook and eat han and luke.
Ewoks are like the little dwarf aliens in Buck Rogers that try to "off think" wilma's clothing ... they had to study leia's bumps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCsUe_z1-H4 |

as long as it wasn't leia they knocked up But I think I can explain Leia's cool hair style.... A long time ago... in a beauty salon far away.... Luke warns Leia about the dangers of "Buns on Endor" Leia: I don't know Luke, I kinda like my buns... Luke: Nah, trust me, buns are so yesterday... besides, if you ever go to Endor those pesky Ewoks will just poke them with their grubby paws! Leia: Why in the hell would I ever want to go to Endor??! Luke: Hey, you never know. And you should also think about buying a new evening dress while you're at it! Leia: Hmm... new evening dress eh? Now you're talking! Have you ever considered becoming a stylist, Luke? Luke: Oh yes! All the time! |

| Did George seriously have a no undies policy for Leia? LOL. I think I can almost forgive him for the prequels if that's true. Seriously. WTF is up with that. It was okay for Aunt Beru to have a juicer, and they drank out of cups, so... I mean seriously. He was just a dirty perv...nothing to do with no undies in the Star Wars universe. |

| Paul: That little Luke-Leia dialogue put a big smile on my face. Claus: Wow what a speech, impressing Carrie Fisher! |

Very close, Paul. Maybe not a wizard but a sorceress. Probably the Ewoks took the dress from Charal's wardrobe, after defeating here in the Battle for Endor, a few years before ROTJ. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ewoks:_The_Battle_for_Endor |
