COO #6 with rough textured limbs & head.

In the post above I described the figure with COO #6 as having a rough texture to the limbs & head, which I hope is clear in this close up of the legs.

I gather from this thread... http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t4075-no-coo-ig-88-figure that poor quality casting can indicate late production.
So, is the granular texture due to a worn mold, & do all figures with COO #6 have this texture?

Probably the best sculpted vintage figure

#1 - #6

Now I always thought the 2 'main' variants were hollow eyes (#1,2,4&5) vs solid eyes(#3 & #6). The shiny/silver variants have the hollow eyes & extra leg detail.
The dull/matt/grey variant has the solid eyes & is missing the leg tube.




#6 is the flexible/rubber limb version

it also seems to be have slightly hollowed eyes but to me is still one of the grey variants.

2 - Light Metallic grey plastic, flexible limbs, solid eyes
3 - Light metallic grey plastic, flexible limbs, partial hollow eyes
4 - Dark metallic grey plastic, stiff limbs, hollow eyes
5 - Dark metallic grey plastic, stiff limbs, hollow eyes (Double)

I was having a look on eBay the other day to see if I could work out where these Hollow Eyed IG-88's where made.

ESB 41 back with the Hollow eyed IG-88, no factory code's on these Smile MOCs at this time(edit... S by greedo) in production but it does still have the perforated punch.




ESB 48 back with hollow eyes and an "S" factory code for Smile.




ROTJ 65 back with hollow eyed IG-88 and a "HN" factory code for Smile factory

Padawan 1351 aside from quoting Alex's old post twice were you trying to add some information? If you added it within the quote could you underline it or something because I have tried to figure out the difference but don't see any changes.
