| I'm just wondering if anyone is seeing any odd patterns on Ebay. It seems with no reserve auctions, there is nothing going for fair market value (at least with what I'm looking at). It's like they either end way low and someone gets a bargain or it skyrockets and some idiot pays hundred more for an Uzay ERG Has anyone noticed anything like this? I know I look at some stuff out of the standard realm so it could be factor but I wanted to hear some opinions! |

| Intresting observation John, I've often found that final sale prices on eBay can be pretty erratic, which is why I guess a lot of people protect themselves with researves or higher stating prices. However, with some of the stuff I've watched, I have noticed that an item with a £0.99 starting price & no researve can often sell for more money than the equivelant item with a researve or higher starting price. Perhaps people are put off watching or bidding on items with researves or higher starting prices resulting in more interest in the potentially cheap item. This extra interest may then push the price up? I've also seen items repeatedly relisted with increasingly lower starting prices, which then go on to sell for far more than the original starting price! |

| Yes I have noticed this as well. I'm too scared to sell any of my stuff at 99p auction anymore in case they sell too low. Maybe thats why I'm noticing a lot more stuff being sold by BIN now. Of course it probably means that the stuff I am selling is a load of crap that no one wants |

| I don't sell often att ebay, if no result on forum and if the item don't fit into the shop I put it out.
but I usually put what I want for it at lowest as starting bid and the value at buy now. Sure the starting bid lowers the amount of potential bidders but it could also end up with that it sell for one dollar when it should sell for 25dollar ex. Which would hardly make it worth selling. |

| Selling without an reserve could be an hit or miss. I also sold stuff way under the value, but On the other hand if you list something with an 99 cent startprice, you get much more views and followers and i also sold items at higher prices this way then the bin i had listed it with before.
But rare and foreign items stay hot collectibles that why you see prices going up On pieces dont come for sale every day.

Yeah I have to drag whatever it is for 10 min to get any place where I can send. So I know what you mean by that |

| Anything with a reserve I stay away from. They usually have it set higher than its worth or more than Im willing to pay for it. But I have seen bidding wars going on for dirt common figures before and for some of the higher end ones. I got caught in one one time, but backed out when it went for 10x what it was worth to me. |
