| I had my miscard C3PO on DSD up for trade and I got a few really really lucrative offers but I wasn't in need of cash so I didn't give them a ton of consideration (outside of a few friends). Paul Chu was interested but we had stuff going on so I told Paul I'd hold it until we figured something out. So it's been sitting in my cabinet. I was randomly talking to Paul and asked him if he had any Broadway connections. My daughter was dying to see the musical "Hamilton" and it's literally the hottest thing on Broadway. Sold out deep into 2017 and the resale market has tickets going into the thousands which I just couldn't justify. I told Paul that tickets to the show would be an instant trade. Didn't care when, where, etc. Low and behold he IM's me that he's got 4 seats to Hamilton !!! My daughter went through the roof when I told her. It was for that night, so in a span of 3hrs we went from sitting home in Pawling to standing outside the theater on 46th street!! Madeline and I got to spend a few minutes outside chatting with Paul and his date Jonathan (I told Jonathan not to get jealous as Paul would be getting bear hugged by me and Madeline lol) and then we sat down and the show began. I have no words to describe the joy on her face and how I felt looking at her. My only regret was we literally had to run from the theater back to Grand Central to catch the train. We'd have loved to grab dinner with you guys. I told Paul I can't repay him. There is no equivalent for giving a father a moment in time that will never be forgotten. Thought is was worth sharing. Seriously there is NOTHING I could've gotten in trade that would outshine this |
