Hey All!

I found a way to install a "Thanks" button in the forum. It's the closest thing I could find to a "Like" button. It's only available on threads/topics you start. You can thank replies from other posters on your thread if you feel they are "thankable". For each thanks you receive you'll get a certain number of points added to your Kudos count (which is under your username/avatar on the boards). Some thread sections are worth more than others all ranging from 3 points to 10.

I've also activated a TIG Reputation point system. You'll notice a little Plus (+) and Minus (-) sign on the right hand side of every one's reply on the forum. This is how you vote on who's posts are most interesting/relevant/helpful/answer the question, etc. Again, this is a sliding scale and some sections are worth more than others. However, for ever minus you get, you'll loose a point and hurt your overall TIG Reputation. The tallies are located under your Avatar/Username.

It's nothing much, but it's at least a fun little thing we can use. We can tweak it as we go if we feel necessary and I'll keep looking for a "Like" button to add as well.

One big advantage-if members value their reputation, this new system should encourage them to 'think' before posting!

I don't know that you can see who votes for your or not? I'll look into that.

You can see your forum statistics on your profile page though. It'll show how many thanks you've received as well as reputation votes.

@Marco - It's all based on a sliding scale. You get more points for certain threads and replies. I'll let you guys figure out where the most points are!
