It looks like prices have been fluctuating drastically:
http://www.ebay.com.au/csc/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_nkw=glasslite+star+wars&LH_PrefLoc=2&_arm=1&_armm=63&_ruu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fcsc%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26LH_Complete%3D1%26_nkw%3Dglasslite%2Bstar%2Bwars%26_arr%3D1&LH_AvailTo=15

so $100 for the complete figures( maybe a bit more ), $50 each for the rest.

For the complete Luke and vader in the first pics i would actually say more..

They look in nice shape and the sabers are nice...i think $100 each would be a steal
personally....

The other figs James is on the button i reckon, but the GL C3po goes for some crazy
prices so if you can get him for 50 i would grab him...

thanks for the info & ebay link showing the sold items.

PS What makes the Droids C3-PO so special, is it the "black" eyes on the glasslite version, my kenner has blue?

The Kenner and Glasslite Droids lines differ not very much:

http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1074918/

I am 100% sure I have seen once a thread (on RS?) with side-to-side comparison pis, Kenner Droids vs Glasslite Droids. I could not find it so easily.

Linkmaster AJ, we need your help here! Cool

Something looks wrong On that droids 3po you posted. The eyes look filled with whitemarker and dotted with a pen. This surely does not look factory.

Loads of other loose "strange" eyed photos on the net, but all loose so they prove nothing.

yeah but the white on yours is much more irregular (overpainted blue eyes?) and the balck dots looks like made with a pen...not really precise.

I can only guess its a fake (Kenner version build to a glasslite version) because I have none of those, but Im pretty good in spotting faked paint....though

I would ask an expert, but I have seriously doubts

Hope the best

As i said before and like Wolff says, the carded example you show has much better looking eyes then the loose ones you show. + i thought the eyes should be blue.

Not An expert aswell, but foreign licensed figures should have more decent paint applications then those loose examples.

Being that these are my figures being discussed, let me chime in and correct everyone on here.

First off, it's WELL established that there are TWO different Droids C-3P0 variations. One with black eyes and one with blue. The black eyed version is harder to find but is a legit variation nonetheless and i've seen several examples over the years with just as bad, if not worse eyes than this one. It's also well-established fact that Glasslite paint jobs are actually notoriously poor, as was the plastic used by the company to make the figures. So contrary the opinions bandied about here, these are not painted Kenner figures made to look Glasslite. Unreal that the assumption was even made by someone who claims to know international variations so well.

These figures came directly from a solid Brazilian contact of mine YEARS ago and have been in my personal collection since.

I believe that Shane is correct on this.

I have 2 Glasslites C3PO MOCs and the figures have black eyes with not a very good paint job - here they are:-

Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! C-3POGlassliteDroidsP-fullfrontview-1 Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! C-3POGlassliteDroidsP-figurefullview Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! Th_C-3POGlassliteDroidsP-bubblecrack11

My Kenner Canada Droids MOC C3PO has blue eyes and a better paint job - Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! DroidsC3PO

I cant tell what the colour of the eyes are on my Kenner Drods C3PO MOC as the bubble has yellowed quite a bit - Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! C-3PODroidsKenner12UNPY-fullfrontview Glasslite valuation needed & C3-PO's 'strange' eyes!! C-3PODroidsKenner12UNPY-righttopbubbleview-dent

Hope this helps clears things up. If I somehow made it worse :I am stupid: I apologise

Cheers, Mark

Yeah - the plastic is the sure-fire way to determine whether a Droids GL figure is legit. It's not at all soft/rubbery like non-vac metalized Kenner figures... it's hard and brittle just like the vac-metalized figures (DSD, 3PO). That's why you can't swap out missing limbs.

I was really surprised to see people questioning the authenticity here. The eyes are very typical.

It still amazes me that these GL figures don't command much of a premium even in the variation community given their staggering rarity among production figures.

Thanks for the MOC photos, i never doubted my loose C-3PO. I always felt the "imperfect" paint job looked factory finished to me, rather then an altered toy by some scammer.

Thanks for the clarification.

I don't believe it's unreal that an opinion was expressed and followed with advice to consult an expert on the matter. Nobody is 100% correct all of the time.
