Well I just had a experience with a Ebay item coming “Not as described”.
And this is just my heat of the moment rant and may not apply to anyone who sells on ebay or anywhere but it could help avoid bad situations.
For sellers, if you’re going to sell an carded item and ship the item in a star case for “added protection” please at least fill the star case with packaging peanuts or even paper towels or toilet paper (non used). Just because you send it in a star case means nothing but protection of the card itself. And PLEASE don’t send “Parcel Post” and here’s why: A: you’re not saving more than about $3 on the shipping and B: If you’ve ever seen the movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective, you get a really good impression on how the post office handles Parcel Post packages.

Like I said this is a heat of the moment Venting and needed somewhere to do it!!

totally understandable, here is one for you - I just purchased a MISB Darth Vader's Star Destroyer. I was charged $20 in shipping. It arrived the other day in the pouring rain, first thing I noticed was the shipping sticker for $7. Once in hand I realized it was only wrapped in brown paper! My $20 in shipping didn't even buy me a box! Luckily everything was fine & no water damage but still!

Hey Pat great score on the Death Star Pat, Glad it wasn't damaged, some people are so stupid it begs belief, and for the sake of a few quid! I usually end up paying more than I charge on postage. Don't like charging to much, but always post first class recorded for sake of knowing it will get there and be signed for, after a couple of items never reached there destination 'apparently' and I had to issue refunds, naturally I make sure its well protected also, for the same reason! I don't want complaints!
I've had figures sent in just a plain brown envelope and they've arrived with an arm sticking through the side! It's good to RANT!

Not shipped inside a box?! I would of freaked out!

yes i got a scare like that too. MY Battle at sarlacc's pitt came in brown paper wrapping that is all what the seller put over the game box, i kid you not! I got the luck of the gods that my games was not smashed in when i got it or some other similar type of damage. This is the only time i have received a star wars item packed that way... I was not impressed!
