| The other night I was wasting away on ebay again and I saw a pretty decent lot of figures that was up to 100+ bucks, but from the picture looked more like a $50 lot. I clicked on the auction and started reading. It was titled something like "30 figures for sale" or whatever, but he added to the description that it was actually like closer to 70 and at some point had added 2 more pics. This is great for a buyer because it got a better chance at getting skipped over when it gets listed than if it showed everything, naturally. There were literally MINUTES left when I found this and I started looking closely at the pics. There were a TON of weapons, a beautiful blue snag, a ton of other figures, belts, masks, etc. here are the pics: I looked at the r2 figure, the spray ops seemed really dark, and from what I read, that was an early bird R2 so my interests started peaking. I placed a bid of 200 or so on the lot because it was very nice, and I would certainly pick it up at that price, then started looking harder. I went to the weapons page and started looking at chewies crossbow, and it was VERY translucent and kinda green, so I popped right back to Luke in the other picture. The saber tip was short and a darker yellow, looked pretty dirty. I sent him a message asking if the tip was broken or if it pulled out all of the way because my Luke is missing the tip, and he sent me this picture I was dying. It looked just like a DT tip! Its just a tiny bit shorter than a standard one. The saber has a slight bend to it, and for some reason, the color looks different to me. A saber would not break off at the very tip like that, unless it was cut, they would generally break closer to the fatter part on the hilt as commonly seen, so I didnt want to bring anymore attention to the Luke so I asked him about the weapons and general condition of the figures and he told me that he picked them up with a bunch of other junk. Must have been a yard sale, or estate sale type of thing. I raised my bid by 100 bucks when I saw the picture, then he sent me this one: He said that he was not aware that the tip came out like that, and obi wans must be broken because it didnt come out any more than that, and Vader got the short end because thats all his has. I raised my bid another 200 bucks. Long story short, I won They should be here tomorrow and I will of course add pics and give my opinion on the saber. I am actually VERY proud that I noticed the few things that I did because my persistance and time studying these things has finally paid off. He said he would wrap the luke seperate since I needed him for my collection, but honestly I was just as worried about that Blue Snag, lol. He looks amazing! I have been walking around in circles for a week now waiting on these, This is probably the best loose lot I have bought yet. I finally snagged a DT for the price of a loose figure, I have plenty of figures that I can pick and choose upgrades from, TONS of weapons to pick through and get whatever I need, and A LOT of stuff to sell or trade to fund a very large purchase I am working on. I hope that I don't look like a dick posting this, I am just very excited about it |

| Steve, I have another pic to show you!
I probably spend 8-10 hrs a day on eBay, forums, etc wasting time. I sit around at work most of the day, and my family is sleeping way before me most of te time, so I catch a lot of good stuff.
Depending on what shift I am on at work, I can literally go through page after page of stuff. Last week I went through 50+ pages of ending soonest, lol. I check every farmboy I see for a weird tip. I also check every lot unless it says "3 figures" or something like that because it seems like I have a better chance on an oddball lot paying off than looking for a specific figure.
I say that, but I was also burned on those VC jawa. eBay sucks with their protection, as does paypal. I submitted proof that they were fake and they still sided with the seller. I appealed for the second time today on that deal, but I don't expect to see a dime from it.

| Great score Tim, congrats!! If the DT saber is the real thing you even have a super score. Pls show us some detail pics of the saber once you have it, I am sure other members can tell you whether it is genuine. Cheers |

| Wow, looks like a fantastic score. But always wait till you have them in hand, this is a public forum & non members can view it. So twats like John Walsh may see it , work out the auction, contact the seller & buy it ........ If they are only a day away you should be safe I look forward to the pictures when you get them. If that Ben saber is a DT outer this will be one of the pick ups of the year. Regardless nice buy. |

| Great find! James, it's not a Ben DT outer. Look at the first pic of the three. |

| Yeah, true, it does like that. Might be it's a DT and a piece of the inner saber is still there. |

Yep - that's exactly what I see as well. I can also confirm that the colour is correct for a DT Ben saber. Personally I would not be surprised if you've just landed an outer part with small piece of the inner saber remaining. Many congratulations - a great haul. FWIW there was an auction a couple of months on evilBay.com which only had a few early figures for sale all of which were in poor condition. However, just one picture showed a reverse shot of the figures and the Ben had a DT saber even though the outer saber was clearly in a number of pieces it was still all contained within the arm cavity. That auction finished at around $230 after being around $13 up until myself and another bidder sniped. I didn't win. Time, effort and patience always pays off in the end. Well done Tim. Cheers, Christian |

| Thanks for the kind words guys! Awww man, I didnt even THINK about the Ben tip! He did say that the Ben was broken off, maybe he pushed it back in while trying?? You can clearly see a little nub on one pic, then nothing. Great. I wasn't already pacing back and forth all week, now I am sweating while I do it, lol Hopefully they will be in today and I can get some pics going for you guys. John Walsh? The dude from Americas Most Wanted? I never pictured him as the vulture type... I held back on posting this as long as I could, I shared with one person here on the forum and my buddy at work, but its been hush hush since I won it. I know there are vultures out there who will do stuff like that, so I tried to be as non descriptive as possible, plus I waited an extra day after it was shipped to even bring it to the public. |

| Wow indeed!
This is exactly why I and others spend hours trawling through every last lot looking for those little signs that get the pulse racing. That is a find and a half! I thought the same about the blue sabre. You can see a small tip in the first pic, and it is a different colour. You could have hit a double bubble here, regardless of the Blue Snag.
Good work Tim.

| Figures are in. The ben is not a DT. Not sure what happened with that tip, but it is a gg hilt
Luke is a little beat up, but the saber is awesome. It even has the sprue on the back!
Bad news, there are initials on most of the foot bottoms. Some ink, some carved, lol
This lot is still awesome. Lot of goodies for me to upgrade, tons of stuff to sell also!
Now, let's wait till Monday and I've got a few more goodies coming in!
