The Kenner TV ads were big for me as a kid. Of course they were preaching to the choir but still they managed to do an excellent job getting my pulse all racing.
One of the elements in those commercials really stands out during some recent views: the music.
It's so perfectly suited for the purpose. It reminds us vaguely of the Williams score, but cheezed-up and dumbed-down ad infinitum... right on target for hyping plastic to 8 year old kids.
Does anyone know where this music came from, or how it was recorded? I'm guessing a competent synthesizer composer in Cincinnati gets the credit. Sure would be great to track down the source. Imagine if we could get our hands on some kind of source copy!
